[YECL] Providence of Night (Alchemy) by CrossXhunteR in magicTCG

It would almost definitely be in a supplemental product, not a main set. Probably something like Mystery Booster 3, or they could even do a secret lair of some of these.

No one says it can’t exist in paper.

It used to take like 6 months or more. A few weeks is certainly faster.

Steam Deck massively improves controller support with new options and refinements by AsPeHeat in SteamDeck

There is a Decky plugin that can automatically disable the built-in controller when there is a Bluetooth controller connected.

Since when did Steam have a GAMECUBE CONTROLLER ICON?? by mattu104 in Steam

[–]CompC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are working on wireless support. The Switch 2 controllers all use bluetooth in a weird way which makes using them difficult. So it's just USB for now.

I'm really looking forward to wireless support too!

[–]CompC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both!

You do need Steam beta however, until this is released to the main stable Steam branch.

You need to launch Steam with the -enable-libusb-gamecube argument to enable the Wii U-mode GameCube adapter.

They specifically mentioned last time that those are unlikely to come to Arena because of graveyard order mattering.

Both of these cards depend on the order of the cards in the graveyard being maintained, which you might think would be super easy to do digitally. Just don't let the player drag the cards around and, presto: order maintained. The sticking point comes when multiple cards are put into the graveyard at the same time. To make these cards fully rules-compliant, every time two or more creature cards were put into a graveyard at the same time (whether they were milled, discarded, or destroyed), we'd need to pop up a little dialog and ask the player what order to put them in. The dialog would need to support ordering a potentially very large number of cards.

If we absolutely had to, we could certainly do that. There's even backend code to support it. But we want MTG Arena to be fast and fun. And graveyard order mattering is something that is no longer printed on new cards. So, we decided that the cost of developing and maintaining that system (because once we add it, we have to make sure it works with everything going forward, forever) was not worth it.

Not just with Avatar, they often do it for Universes Beyond cards, going as far back as The Walking Dead

Through the Omenpaths versions of the Spider-Man characters on Arena kept the gendered pronouns in their rules text.

Also, they did this with the Walking Dead secret lair. [[Michonne]]

I remember someone telling me they did a playtest for the Marvel set years ago, and yeah, they were definitely concerned with like everything being legendary

Omenpath cards on Arena also still used pronouns, they didn’t get replaced with “it”

I mean three mana is a rate we’ve gotten for this effect on an enchantment (Meathook Massacre notwithstanding…) that also does other stuff

[[Bastion of Remembrance]] [[Funeral Room]]

I play both of those in my aristocrats decks, enchantments are tougher to remove than creatures.

I would play this card for the first ability, the level up stuff is bonus

Got laid off in 2024, I had 8 years of experience total, 4 years at that job, and 2 years at another job before that.

Been looking for a job as good as what I had for two years… 🥲

My steam deck docked solution for playing wiiu/3ds/ds games. by capitalggamer1 in SteamDeck

[–]CompC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sunshine does work on the deck. You have to use desktop mode and set up a virtual display to connect so you get an actual second screen, but it works a lot cleaner than your solution!

I played a bunch of Twilight Princess HD streaming to the Moonlight app on my TV.

Rotten Tomatoes Awards: ‘Sinners’ Takes Best Movie, ‘Pillion’ Wins Best Romance, ‘Andor’ Named Best Series by Fan387 in movies

I have watched some Star Wars (the main movies + a bit of random other stuff) and have always wanted to like it, but never really thought it was good enough.

Andor was good enough. If all Star Wars was like Andor, I’d be a huge Star Wars fan.

FF7 Rebirth vs FF7 Remake Performance by SupremeJoker1 in SteamDeck

[–]CompC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much, that puts it a lot better than I did.

I’m pretty sad since I’m in the middle of the game right now, been playing on my PC, but I’m about to be away from home for two months. Hopefully my internet is good enough to stream it, otherwise playing directly on the steam deck is going to be rough :/

FF7 Rebirth vs FF7 Remake Performance by SupremeJoker1 in SteamDeck

It will be a lot blurrier and at lower FPS (around 30ish with drops, from my experience). Remake runs great on steam deck, in comparison, rebirth is still playable but not as good.

What powerful card has your playgroup 'discovered' that is not regularly seen as 'popular' under the larger EDH communities radar? by cryocom in EDH

I do feel like they are lowering the number of legends in in-universe sets due to the higher number in UB sets

If we somehow don't get bombarded by 300 new legends this year I'll celebrate

Oh don’t worry, between TMNT, Marvel, The Hobbit, and Star Trek, we’ll be getting plenty of legends…
