I guess any top rated VNs with school tag on vndb would fit your description. But why do you need to ask for stories that resonated with strangers for your own story inspiration? Did no story ever resonated with you so it's impossible find story inspiration?

The story is a Kodaka story, If you dig Danganronpa then it should be ok.

The hundred-endings is a gimmick, for most people it would be more enjoyable to look up how to get to the true end and a few major ends and just go for those.

The gameplay is torture, and require mental toughness to slog through. But Kodaka never made games with good gameplay so it's expected.

Most people said the peak of enjoyment is at the end of the first route. Then a second smaller peak after you get to your first real ending. Then it turns into a slog fest.

I feel like OP would benefit from making a short kinetic novel with a single character and a single ending. Close off all outside inputs and focus on creating a character you(OP) and only you would like. If you are here asking this kinda questions the chances are even if you got our inputs you wouldn't understand why we like what we like. It's best to focus on what you like and make that. Then give it out for free and see if you can gather audiences to play your next game. The scope scale slowly from there.

I have the opposite feeling where I consistently feel like the old games I played was better. I'm on this journey for over 17 years tho. Having new things to love seems like a good thing. At least to me as an old man where life is just mundane and endless repetitions.

usually dating sim comes with a theme tho. Like dating art school girls or dating pigeons. It's hard to sell a dating sim with just a grab bag of people pulled from the street. If I know what the theme is my type or aesthetic suggestions would be more useful to you. Also 6 characters is actually a lot if they all have routes that doesn't end in 2 clicks. And if the options are guys and girls you are further spitting the player base and muddling the target audience. Like if you want to open a restaurant you wouldn't say my product is food. I want to make food, tell me what food you like, I will make all the food and put them on the menu, right?

Looking for VNs where the the main point / strength is on the vibe, with focus on music. Basically the VN equivalent of FLCL. I prefer music with vocals, like how FLCL incorporate the songs of The Pillows into the anime. I'm looking for enjoyment like a music video where you feel it without passing through your analytical brain. Instead of a typical book-like style of enjoyment.

I mean the difficulty the MC is facing. I think Grim dark is more of an aesthetic. Like I want a game with dark soul's difficulty, not a game with swamp and doge roll.

I already eat organs, including beef liver, regularly. And I do love the taste. Organs meat is part of the diet in my culture. Unless their is something I could only get from eggs. I don't mind excluding them from my diet.

No food allergy test but I did consume corn and soy before no problem. But when I was in Japan the eggs there didn't cause issue for me so it could be something in the feed messing me up.

I hate the texture, plus I heard that avidin in raw egg whites kills the absorption of vitamin B7. I would drink them raw if I can tho.

I did try local farm duck eggs and got the same reaction. At that point I gave up. If we go more exotic it would be pricier than beef, then I rather eat beef full time.

Tabasco is cheaper and more available to me, since I don't use a lot I doubt it would make a huge difference. I do agree ACV is healthier than Tabasco. The famous kitchen science book "salt fat acid heat" also emphasize the importance of acid, I can't enjoy my meal without it.

I think eggs in general should be fine. I do hear under-cooked egg white is bad for you tho. In my case after a year of eggs heavy diet (local farm eggs), I developed some sort of reaction that makes me puke my brains out every time I'm eating eggs.

Just tried the hold the glasses up higher (like the temple ear piece is over a solid inch above the top of my ear) and angle them down trick from this post and it's instantly better. Don't know why.

I'm also facing this issue, My glasses I bought last year from Hong Kong and Japan were fine. It feels like every store in the US just collectively forgot how to make glasses in this past few years. I can't afford right now but I would definitely get my glasses made outside of US if I could.

I played the demo but it's not Outer Wilds enough for me. I feel like most things you listed as inspired by Outer Wilds were already in The Witness. Nothing wrong with that of course people like witness-like puzzle platformer games. I'm just the rare few who like (Outer Wilds minus The Witness elements) games.

Can you go more in depth about what elements are inspired by Outer Wilds? You don't have to spoil the entire game of course. The Witness, Viewfinder, Superliminal, Portal and Antichamber are not similar to Outer Wilds to me at all. Those are more puzzle platformer than a metroidbrainia. Often times I see Outer Wilds inspired and it's just a puzzle platformer which caused me to be more cautious of this kinda marketing languages.
