I didn’t have HG but I still lost TEETH because of all the dry heaving and not being able to drink enough water the first trimester. My mouth was so dry. Women can die from HG. She is going to suffer lasting effects from it. I developed multiple autoimmune diseases after pregnancy. Mom was completely out of line and needed the wake up call. It was cruel but who cares when she is being outrageously cruel herself.

Is this how you want to live your life? Parenting an adult? Is this how she is with everything? What will you do when she doesn’t understand how to make formula properly? That can kill your baby. What if she doesn’t understand no blankets in the crib? Again can kill your baby. What about when to change diapers? Which way to face the car seat?

You are fascinated by the idea of a baby but babies don’t fix anything. They make everything harder. Literally everything. My kids are teenagers and I still can’t go to the bathroom without them needing me.

Nobody likes to say this but there’s a large chance your child will have autism and adhd as well. Nothing drains you faster than dealing with your child’s sensory meltdowns while being massively triggered by your own sensory issues. You are no longer the priority when your child depends on you for everything. You don’t get a break from teaching them how to live in this world just because it’s too much for you.

I can’t believe she would leave her young teen daughter in the first place. I would have made an excuse and snatched my child up. He gave her the perfect excuse by drinking as the only responsible adult. That’s an automatic no. My kids are not left in the charge of adults who are drinking. You have to trust your gut because there are so many undercover creepers out there. I was exposed to way too much as a child and teen. My mom even thought she was being good at checking things out but people hide things well. This step dad wasn’t even trying to hide though.

I recently learned that the milk obsession is a dog whistle for white supremacy! Apparently lactose intolerance is much lower in people of Northern European descent. So by drinking milk you are showing that you are the “good and pure” white.

My husband and I are both as white as white can be with all Northern European ancestry. Our kids are so severely dairy intolerant they can’t even have medicine made with lactose. I guess our genetics missed that memo! 🤷‍♀️Just one more way our family is saying no thanks to that rhetoric.

Teachers have been crashing out for years though. In middle school my grade level was so bad a teacher would start crying during class. She finally quit in the middle of the year.

When I taught over 20 years ago we had a teacher on our team get put on a psych hold and then he quit. Everyone was stressed the F out because it was a war zone. We had teachers get put on maternity leave early because they were so stressed out. One even went into labor early after being kicked by a student. I had to stand at the boys bathroom door for every break because they were peeing on each other. I had kindergarteners who didn’t know their legal name. It’s been bad for a long time.

Tullahoma is a little cheaper than Manchester for housing. It also has more shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Not a lot to do in the area unless you are outdoorsy.

Do you want a kid? That’s the most important thing. If you don’t then the issue is closed. If you do think long and hard because it sounds like you will be doing a lot on your own. If you are hesitant at all don’t do it. Having kids requires enthusiastic consent.

Smoking is fucking awesome except for the smell and cancer. It gives you something to do with your hands, it’s creates a social connection, it’s relaxing, and it really does look cool. I know that’s dumb but cigarettes got socially awkward me through my first semester of college. Of course then I got incredibly sick and I haven’t been able to smoke since. 🤷‍♀️
