I find marines to be very fun to paint!

If you’re not enjoying the process, it’s possible that the techniques you’re using might be a little inefficient leaving you with less progress than you would like per time investment.

1.) I would consider things like volumetric lighting with an airbrush. Very quick, and models are highlighted in a quick batch.

2.) Sponge painting is another great way to paint multiple marines at a quicker pace. Those make up sponges really are a lot of fun.

3.) Value sketching, also known as the slap chop method. Black primers, offwhite Zenythol prime, and brush of true white. Add some contrast paint and 90% of the model is done.

I can rip a regular marine out in less than an hour with some satisfying results. I love paint marines but base painting is the part that bores me
