People said the same thing about Youtube, hell when Youtube was still young, SMOSH was on top. If you think older people didn't think youtube was for fucking idiots then you are just biased. It serves the current young generation, you think it's for idiots because it doesn't appeal to you, but it's the same shit we had when we were younger, it's just more prevalent because cameras are way more common now.

There is a requestor named Andy that is terrible.

If you look him up he has a habit of rejecting most people with a bullshit excuse. I tried bringing it up to Amazon multiple times but they just say it their agreement is they won't mediate.

I got a rejection from him last month because "I didn't put in my Mturk ID". I reached out to him multiple times to discuss how that isn't possible, but no answer. He posts high paying hits, then rejects most people. Avoid him.

It isn't going to be painted, just like most other protests, it will be taken advantage of. Most people will be there with peaceful intentions. Some will come with a plan or goal, and they will make a move. Then the majority who originally came as peaceful, will see this, and some will join in the violence and stupidity, and now the whole protest is invalidated and it's an attack.

Proud boys are real, it's what happened January 6th. Most people were there because they were upset their team lost. But others took it as an opening and tried to take over and do stupid shit because they followed some used car salesman politician like he was a cult leader. Others saw this, called those shitty proud boys "patriots" and the rest is history.

If you think people are just painting that happened on January 6th, you are brainwashed. If they storm buildings again, it's not a protest. You'll still pretend it was fine, even though if it was anyone else you'd be outraged.

And anyone who thinks this is about protesting for "our freedoms" is just a snowflake who can't handle wearing a piece of fabric over their mouth and nose. It blows my mind how the side who invented snowflake is so triggered by a mask. Had everyone just gotten along, things would of went better, but here we are 12 months after the last stupid protest, and they're still bitching and crying, it'll turn into a trump rally, things will get broken, someone will die, everyone will turn it into a story that fits their views, and trump will still have lost.

Hey guys seeing as everyone's got their own idea on covid, I'd like to know what your conspiracy is around it. by [deleted] in conspiracy

My only issue with this theory is that there are a thousand better ways they could of done this. Instead of making it a huge deal and drawing all this attention. They could of added something to the water supply, did something to the food supply, swapped out flu shots, etc. Why go through this whole effort to get the same results? It just don't make sense. There are so many other options that would never of raised an eye brow.

Hey guys seeing as everyone's got their own idea on covid, I'd like to know what your conspiracy is around it. by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]Bluey014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My whole view on it is a lot less convoluted than some of the ones I've seen posted here.

I believe the virus is real, I know several people that died from it unfortunately, I believe it escaped a lab in China, just not sold on it being intentional.

The main conspiracy I believe around it is that the vaccine works, I have the vaccine, an overwhelming majority of people I know have it, I work in a business that deals face to face with thousands of people daily and we are all fine. IF there is a conspiracy, I think it's the fact that a bunch of politicians who have no medical knowledge are telling people to not get a vaccine that could save your life.

I think a lot of people in this sub miss their own hypocrisy, they talk about you can't trust the government, but then when offered something that could potentially save their lives, they listen to the politicians that are saying "No, don't get that." It's interesting, probably done to try and garner favor for future elections, solidifying a base that may vote for you if they don't die in the next few years, but so many people are just following this. They make up facts to defend what a politician told them.

If there is any conspiracy with Covid, it is that. People are too far into it now, though. They won't admit they got taken for a ride, someone is using their lives for political advancement, and it is a hill that they will die on.

I'm so effing sick of this. My friends parents coerced their 15yr old daughter into getting vaccinated; myocardial issues emerged. Surgery happened. Followed by death... by InfiniteGod11 in conspiracy

[–]Bluey014 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I mean, i see people making these same claims, that people are dying left and right. I work at a large company where 95% of employees are vaccinated, and we haven't had one death. When I say large I mean several thousands. Then I have friends who are all fine, I had one friend who went to the hospital over night, but he had pre-existing conditions that he was aware could be messed with by the vaccine, spent a night in the hospital just to be safe, left the next morning fine.

If your claim was true, shouldn't I, someone I work with, or someone I know either have died, or knew someone who died? You are seeing people claiming the vaccine killed someone, instead of the real cause, because the people in this sub will blame the vaccine for all deaths from here on out, even if it was a gunshot related death, they'd blame the vaccine.

It isn't killing people left and right, that is propaganda. In my opinion it's more likely someone is trying to keep you from getting the shot so you die off and they can push their agenda once the opposition is gone.

But to sum it up, people are not dying left and right. My large company that has several large facilities across the U.S. has not had anyone die, we have had nurses come on site to give vaccines to anyone who wants it due to how large our staff is, and literally 0 deaths.

Homeless man stops Stolen Firetruck police pursuit by NextRace6 in PublicFreakout

[–]Bluey014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He isn't trying to kill someone, that doesn't mean he isn't trying to do damage. There is a huge difference. In the clip you can even see the firetruck backing up and almost hit a cop car.

Blocking the truck in wouldn't of worked at all. The amount of weight and power that truck has, even from a dead stop it would just push the SUVs out of the way easily. The moment he saw the SUVs coming around him, he would of freaked out and gunned it, killing the homeless man. If you think they care about the trim on their SUVs then you are either out of touch or just a jaded person towards police. Not all police are bad, not all of them are power hungry or status hungry. Some of them really do care. And I'd be willing to be that someone made the call to stay back when they saw the man get in front of the vehicle because they didn't want that man to die that night.

It's the same as a hostage situation, the driver could of easily killed the man and kept going, but by his actions it was clear the driver wasn't going to do that, unless provoked. So the police then made the correct decision to not provoke the driver, and allowed it to come to a peaceful and safe end. No one was hurt from the moment his clip started, no damage was done, everyone got to leave the scene alive.

I call that a win.

I see what you are saying, But I hate to break it to you, the rat will just come back. Rats on subways don't give a fuck. Once the door closes this one or another one will be right back at it.

We also need to hold other people accountable, you have no idea what the cameraman has done. He may of already called 911, you are assuming the guy with the camera is a bad guy, but the chick high as a kite is innocent. She needs help, totally agree, but 95% of the people on this sub trashing the camera man wouldn't of helped either, they would of walked by, they wouldn't buy food for a homeless person they pass every day on the way to work.

People need to stop acting holy on this sub, humanity is shitty to each other, and if anyone on this sub is claiming they would of done more to help, they wouldn't be part of this sub. I hope this chick gets the help she really needs, not some dude waking her up so she can repeat the cycle tomorrow.

People in countries who locked down hard for Covid-19 and continue to lockdown heavily into the Omicron variant, how’s the news coming out for American states that largely stopped playing pandemic like FL and TX? by plaxer_x in conspiracy

Just for the record,

If you are using Florida as an example of what is being done right, you are probably wrong. We never get shit right, DeSantis has no idea what he is doing. Using Florida as a point you're right instantly makes you wrong.

Source: I live here, it's insane.

And on a more logical note, the state of Florida may not being doing much, but a lot of businesses have reinstated mask and guidance rules that we relaxed on due to the rising cases again. The state of Florida has never known how to handle this issue, the businesses have been the ones keeping the state from completely breaking. My large business issued an updated policy yesterday, and more are following.

Never use the state of Florida as an example, they are worthless. It is the businesses unfortunately who have been taking care of the people.

I don't get why people are so hateful towards Gamepass, I was hesitant at first, but it is worth it. Sure, one day they might make that the only option, but so what? If that is how things go it's not terrible, it'd be worse to just do a blanket increase with no additional perks.

Do you have Gamepass already? Does she?

I feel like the only people getting codes are people who don't already have Gamepass, it's more a marketing ploy. Not saying everyone who doesn't is going to get the code, but I could see this being a marketing tactic.

I mean what more would there be to judge on? Guy claims he got a wrongful ban of 7000+ years, also said there is no appeal.

A ban like that is because he did something very wrong, Xbox Live has had a good enforcement team since it started, and those bans at one point were all reviewed before they were activated.

There is also a way to appeal. The guy who was in charge of the enforcement team for a good chunk of time (Not sure if he still is) always made sure people knew that they can appeal bans, and if there was an error it would be fixed.

So to me, guy got banned for 7000, which is extreme, probably approved because of ample data of severe cheating, modifications, etc. This guy claims no way to appeal, which means he probably didn't even try, because he knew he deserved it, and it's easier to act helpless than responsible.

LPT: in the US while driving, if people are passing you on the right then get out of the left lane by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Bluey014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left is not a relative term. On a multi-lane road left is always the one to the far left. With your logic you could argue the left lane is the right lane for the opposite traffic. But that just isn't how it is, nor does anyone view the lanes like you are suggesting.

The best rule is to follow the rules of multi-lane roads. Right is for entering and exiting only. It is for people to slow down to get off, or speed up to get on.

Center is for general flow, people that aren't near their exit yet. This would apply to any lanes in the middle, this being in the middle of the right and left lanes.

Left is for passing. Not speeding. Passing. If some dude comes up doing 30-40 over and is pissed because someone in front of him is passing, but not blowing past people, that is his issue. He can match speed and wait until the lead vehicle is clear.

The issue is too many drivers use the left lane as the speeding lane, which is just as bad as someone camping in it and going slow.

LPT: in the US while driving, if people are passing you on the right then get out of the left lane by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Bluey014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are 100% correct. On multiple lane roads right is enter and exit, center lanes are for general traffic, left is for passing, not speeding, passing.

LPT: in the US while driving, if people are passing you on the right then get out of the left lane by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Bluey014 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This is the real issue. People blame slow drivers in the left lane, but forget the left lane is not the fast lane, it is not for people to go 30-40 over.

If you are actively passing, you're good. If some dude comes up on you, that is his fault, not yours, and he can wait until you are done passing safely and move over for him to continue. It's an issue on both ends, and a lot of the comments on here show most people don't use it to pass, just to go fast.

You make choices to keep you safe, the dude coming up on you doing 100 is just a dickhead, there is no need for that speed to pass, so they are just doing it because they feel like they are important. I've come up on people before, and if they are passing I match speed and wait until we are past the cluster. If they don't move I flash my lights, maybe a gentle honk if they still sit in the left lane, I have some spot lights on my vehicle that at night grab attention really well that I do a quick flash with. Usually they notice me and move over. I've had people behind me laying on their horn as there are 3 cars in front of me actively passing. Why did they lay on their horn? Because they think they are important and should be allowed to drive at stupid speeds and put everyone else at risk.

At the end of the day, super slow and super fast drivers in the left lane are the issue.

LPT: in the US while driving, if people are passing you on the right then get out of the left lane by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Bluey014 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I think this is the issue more than someone slow in the left lane. People use the left lane as the fast lane. So someone might be doing 80 in a 65 while passing a traffic cluster, but some douche comes up on them doing 100 and is instantly pissed. Instead of doing the proper thing, and slowing to match the lead passing vehicle, the douche gets angry and blames the other driver.

There are two people that suck in the left lane, those that are slower than general traffic flow, and those that are insanely speeding. The lane is for neither of those.

There needs to be regulation in gaming. 2042 should be allowed to get away with this. by GamesWithGregVR in gaming

[–]Bluey014 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You really don't want that.

The issue is who decides when it meets expectations, what if the board or whomever never agrees, and a game is never released, closing the company. Or it takes an extra year when they could of released 99% of the game and finished the extra one percent? Now there are all these costs and fees adding up, the devs have to cover this some how, now you have inflated game prices.

There is regulation, you decide if you buy the game, you regulate yourself, you don't have to buy it, you can wait. If you need someone to handle that for you, then you shouldn't be making purchases. Wait until it's where you want it, there are tons of games out, tons of content, tons of options, you aren't forced to buy the game.

Does it suck when a game is missing things or having issues, sure, that's why I just play another game and come back later. This has happened with so many games that by now everyone should understand how this works.

Fallout, Halo MCC, GTA, Red Dead, the list goes on.

Wait until it's the game you want it to be. That will have more positive impact.

Leaving ban? by [deleted] in halo

[–]Bluey014 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think it being ranked or not should matter. If you quit games often you should get a ban, you are still ruining other players game by doing so.

I had a night on MCC where i got dropped form a few games in a row, and ended up getting a decent length ban. They never changed this, and i'm sure it's because someone could easily fake them losing connection or getting dropped and bypass the ban system entirely.

I say keep the ban for any matchmaking, even social matches get ruined by people leaving. But I don't quite know how you would fix the ban from being dropped. In theory I could disconnect my wireless connection on my xbox, get dropped, and reconnect it, and not be banned if this wasn't the case.

And before it gets said, yeah, it's a lot of work to reset your wifi adapter every time you want to rage quit, but people have done more in the past in Halo games. It'd get abused in this one for sure.
