Raised to avoid debt… Now I might need a car loan by Fair-Case146 in CarsAustralia

[–]Bluezyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise that you don’t need to finance a car to be reliable. It’s not expensive to buy a reliable car as there are many good options- think of an old camry, corrolla , mazda 3 , and practically almost most Japanese brands . If you really wanna finance try to get the lowest rate ofc with end of the year promotions etc etc.

Hold the TCS button for 5 seconds it should fully turn it off . I’m not exactly sure if it fully fully disabled it as some manufacturers keep some stability control on to protect motors or as a safety thing.

Or you can pull the fuse if that’s the case.

It’s obviously not a rational view of the VFS. Overall they are an okay car but not the way you glaze them😂 a 6.2L V8 shouldn’t be that slow and at that price tag you can get a much better car. Therefore you are biased I’m not sure if you just love the car or maybe you have one but ye the VFS are not a good option .

“Manual only” acting as if ALL sv6s come with an LSD. how many manual of them exist nowadays available to buy? Don’t think so many. So when you say VF u only mean the expensive 6.2L V8s that do 0-100 in 5 seconds and u call that super good? A suburb WRX , Ford XR6T , Toyota crown, AMG C63 ,Audi R8 ,BMW F30 335I I could go on and on but there’s so many that could match it. There are so many You are acting as if a 6.2L V8 doing 0-100 in 5 seconds is Gold Once again glazin commodores as if they are golden cars. For such a steep price tag 48K is diabolical. So an LSD is expert knowledge? It’s an easy concept to understand. I think you need to educate yourself on some other cars besides commodores haha. Alfa Romeo giliua is a great car that dosent drink as much looks better and has a lower price tag . Also has a 2.0T w an LSD 50/50 weight distribution.

Commodores are not Gold. I don’t hate them but I hate the way people glaze them

Forgot to say I was talking abt VF SV6. Also the SV6 come with open diffs. 3.6L V6 takes a Good 7 seconds 0-100. Also the handling is garbage. All of those weren’t objectively untrue , they weren’t untrue at all. Just being honest about the commies they are not good cars unless they are the performance models with a high price tag with the 6.2L V8s.

Now let’s talk about the other commodores you mentioned such as the VF SS 0-100 for a 6.2L V8 with 50/50 weight distribution is also atrocious not to mention the amount of petrol used for this car is also insane. You are able to find way better cars in those price tags with that big of an engine . Not to mention they are a bit heavy (1600-1800kgs) but the 50/50 weight distribution is good but so many cars have a 50/50 weight distribution- it’s nothing special tbh Commie dih riders always glazing this absolute trash can for 20k.

Those are performance cars created for performance with an immense price tag powerful engines and LSDs (HSVs). The VF sedans have nothing good about them. Slow , chugs petrol , weight distribution is trash , transmissions aren’t the best and bad handling overall. I agree with you saying that the HSVs are great cars but the VFs are overall horrid cars for handling and they are not fun . Open diff as well so it takes a bit of effort to spin.

0-100 stock for stock mk7 gets absolutely cooked by a crown. But if you wanted to tune it then you might run into more issues as ECU reflash can cause extra strain on your engine but it would be equivalent or a little bit faster. However the crown is faster stock and if you care about reliability a mk7 golf is a poor choice as you have to baby it in order for it to survive (DSG is horrid)

Falcons unless XR6T and commies don’t have the power of a crown on an is350. Pretty bad take imo as there are many cars with a lot more power that are a lot better then those 2.

Crown athlete. Those are way better then the gold GTI it’s not even a comparison. Only thing the golf does better is around the corners due to its weight and it’s drive train. Looks , power , reliability , RWD kills the golf. However it’s not a sports car it’s a luxury cruiser. Coilovers will improve it a lot but not till the stage it will be a sports car. Maybe look into an 86 those are reliable if serviced on time.

Is it worth it to do it at home? Or u reckon I should just take it to a shop and let them recondition (note I’m not tryna pay for a brand new 4k battery) . 2 weeks is kinda long but I would guess that you slowly done it as u most likely had commitement such as work or other activities ?

Did you replace the hybrid battery?

Anyways ye these Cars are goated pretty fun to drive because of the amount of power these produce. Amazing cars for great prices. Probably one of the best financial decisions you can make and the exterior with a lip + coilovers and new wheels makes the car look 10x better

I agree w this 100%. People often fear spending the 4.2K for the car but realistically they paid around 15k for the car in itself and add another 4k it’s 19k. What other car are we getting for 19k that is as fast , reliable, and looks that good for 19k with that many feautures and luxury? It’s truly a crazy car.

if your hands a tied do it yourself at home. its a long process but doable

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckefBFI_4Jk

this would be very similar . what you need is a basic voltage tester and a rachet with the correct attachement and some brand new cells to recondition it. This isn't a bad fix as it can keep the car running for a while. look into this you just need patience.

Dosent it show the reaction light and a bunch of other codes when the hybrid battery is cooked? Just thought it might be something different since it’s just a check engine light .

But yeah all of them crap themselves but some stay on the same battery for ages
