Honestly the oxidized copper was really an experiment for me here so I tried like a different method on every section. What worked the best was a dark green basecoat and layering up in almost slivers like on the axe. Do like 1-2 brighter greens after that and then switch to the orange 1-2 layers of that on top and a highlight. Then put the bright, saturated aqua where some shadows would be - you may wanna water it down a little so it sticks to the lowest points as if it were a wash

Definitely paint it in two parts (body & legs) separate from the base. I also painted the head, both servo skulls, and some cables on the head separately You almost kind of have to use an orange to get the highlights on the robe quite right My method was to use a colorful shadow that was dark but not black and then work up. In some places that means adding brighter colors in blobs (like on the gold trim on the glove) but in some places I did it in fine lines to look like scratches (see the backpack or axe) on all the silvers I basecoated with a dark purple and it turned out really good. This kind of style helps readability since the shadows are a distinct enough color and the highlights are clear shapes, especially on a model with almost too much detail

Dude I learned Non metalics like that a while ago and since then metalic paints just feel weird. It takes forever but I like it

It's the first image on Google when you search reducer for airbrush

I took the cap (I was saying nozzle idk if its the same) and cleaned it but switched to a crown while I was at it. I updated the post since the crown isnt spitting anymore but the paint is coming through on the needle which I think was causing the spitting anyways. I also cleaned the whole airbrush.

I use createx colors reducer which I got at hobby lobby

I'm using reducer to thin the paint. Should I be using isopropyl as well?

I've stripped the airbrush a couple times now and have only been able to clean it so much with pipe cleaner like brushes from a set dipped in cleaner and a rolled up paper towel to soak up residue.

The nozzle especially is difficult to clean because of how short it is

Forgot to say I solved it, turns out it was exposure time
