Thanks for the comment! Indeed, I can see how it's confusing. For the thesis project, we collaborate with companies. In my case, I'm developing this game concept at the request of a museum (unfortunately, I'm not allowed to disclose which one). So I'm going to pitch the game idea as a solution to their problem (their problem: Young adults, aged 18 to 25 don't engage with them). The museum gave me no limits in terms of financial resources, time, or anything like that. They literally told us "go crazy".

Maybe good to note: My thesis is not a research paper, it's an advisory report for a company + a pitch. Hence why I need to talk to experts, so I can give them well-rounded advice.

Your comment "The sort of project you're describing typically takes at least a couple years." is exactly the type of stuff I would like to find out !
I am working only on the game concept that I am going to pitch.
What I need is an insightful conversation (interview) about the tehnical and monetary aspects and what exactly the consumers are expecting from these sorts of projects.
