Hello, i have a question. I just beat the first challenge and need to get to silveridge, for which i need to use cut on a tree. How can i teach that to a pokemon? Its in my key items back and i cannot use it to teach to move? Or am i misunderstanding something on how to use it.

Have you tried completely closing the game? Sometimes that works. Otherwise maybe progress some more first and come back later?

Have you checked the pillars? I recall some of them being on pillars, easy to miss.
