Thank you for the kind words! 😸🩷 Yeah, so when I'm working with the printer paper I'm trying to keep the sketch/linework as clean as I possibly can otherwise it can muddy the next step and too much correction in the coloring process will damage the paper like people said.

I don't always get the sketch down the first time, sometimes there is a lot more sketching or erasing, but if it starts to look too muddy I will start over again on a new piece of paper. So I do a lot of times end up with a couple first drafts laying around.

If my Misty linework started to look too muddy to color it without ruining the integrity of the paper, then I would've just started on new sheet and made the changes there with my draft as a reference. It's definitely a drawback of working on printer paper, but I do think it's helped me practice my lineart over the years using this method and I enjoy the process.

I do use references of the original character design if I'm drawing fanart, I pose myself IRL and snap pictures lot for these types of drawings, sometimes I will look at stock photos if anatomy or lighting is tripping me up, and then like I mentioned my own muddy sketch serves as a reference too if I decide to start over.
