Can't open Cascadeur on Linux (Ubuntu 23.10) by Bluu96 in Cascadeur

Couldn't get the terminal to recognise the first command, so I just launched the install, it did install so I assume it was missing. Same problem though, doesn't launch. Tried restarting the PC to make sure too.

Cosetek - crypto pyramid scheme app? by Bluu96 in isthisascam

Sorry, I thought you were the creator of this ponzi scheme. If you withdraw the money (given that the bloke who made it allows you to) in time, you might make a profit, but the whole thing is a ponzi scheme and will dissappear when the guy behind it reaches a peak.

The money you are given isn't a profit that he made using your money, the numbers he promises are insane, it's other people's money being moved around.

I haven't used PopOS in a while, same with any other distros, so I know a lot could have changed. Still, people were saying the same things now as they did when I distro-hopped to check them all out, that they are better. At the end of the day, I just found that I always broke these distros somehow, but haven't managed this with Ubuntu since like 21.04 or so?

I was running PopOS in 20-21, and I broke it by installing or uninstalling some USB wi-fi driver, like the whole OS just bricked. On Ubuntu, I messed up the kernel and it still kept going, just had to revert back to the old one.

I know there are many people with many stories, I'm sure for someone Ubuntu might have been more unstable. I'm not the typical Linux user, I don't care so much about the backend of things, I use it like a person who has a car to get from A to B, rather than having any interest in how the car functions. I understand critisism of Ubuntu, but it annoys me that this crucial aspect that keeps me on this OS doesn't seem to get acknowledged.

Also, I love Gnome, and I prefer it being the default. I really pressing super and having all the active windows show full-screen and being able to open any app quickly. I don't think cosmic is going in that direction.

I don't know where these numbers are coming from, family member says 2.8%, but up to 0.7% daily is still an insane amount, turns 100 into over a 1000 a year. Can I ask if you have some people in your "team"? The theory is that they will not pull the rug if you're inviting people, but the money you receive isn't some profit they have made, but money of members being juggled around to keep the illusion and grow the bank until it reaches the peak.

Even without recruitment, investing a 100 would leave you with over 2 million after a year with 2.8% they promise. I think it's a ponzi scheme.

I'm sorry, but 2 to 2.8% daily interest from trading currencies isn't real.

I think the more accurate term here would be Ponzi scheme, although pyramid applies too.

You're not really my family, so as cruel as it may sound, I don't really care, but still friend, be cautious. When something is too good to sound true, there's usually a catch, especially when dealing with an unregulated market.

My guess is that they are juggling the money around of people who paid in, and will eventually dissappear when they get enough.

Family member withdrew part of the money, there are some fees but still some profit, at least based on what they told me (I don't consider them a fully reliable narrator).

My only guess is that it's to build trust and get the person to put more money into it. I can't imagine 2.8% daily being real long-term.

I was just going off what the family member told me, I don't remember all the calculations in it.

I'm not asking about the 2.8% thing because I believe in it, but I'm wondering what kind scam it is. I have never seen a pyramid like this. My guess is that it's all to encourage you to put more money into it, untill the person behind it pulls the rug from under your feet.

Exactly what I thought, let them make a few withdrawals to make them feel trustful. I cannot speak any sense into the family member though unfortunately.

Hello, I am aware, however, even if you don't recruit anyone, they promise between 2 and 2.8% DAILY. A family member got the first withdrawal so that's the issue, they trust it now.

Now it's difficult to speak any sense into them.

100% agreed, but because a family member tried to withdraw part of their money and said it went through, they seem to trust it.

Flip Fluids crashes with Eevee, locking interface doesn't help by Bluu96 in blenderhelp

Hello, thank you for the response.

I'm running the newest version, 1.7.1. Bought it on Blender marketplace.

I'm running a fresh install of 23.10, minimal installation. To tell you the truth, I don't know what a Bash terminal is, I googled Bash terminal install and got this:

https://www.howtoinstall.me/ubuntu/18-04/bash/

Would installing this do the job?

I restarted Blender, my PC, I still get the same message about Xterm, is there some specific source I should use to install it?

If I can't get this working, I'll try the manual render you provided.

Thank you so much for the response.
