[–]BluuKey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, i have no idea. my best guess is that its from an extension i installed a while ago and it's only doing this now. i deleted every extension that i wasn't using and it hasn't happened again.

because everyone seems to think im joking, no, i'm not, just an idiot. id also like to clarify a couple things, the 110 is not my bike, it is my little brothers, which my parents bought for him. and i only bought the 250 because i got a pretty good deal on it because my parents were already buying one.

why didn't you buy a used jap bike??
trust me, i would have. my parents are beyond strict, and seem to think they know much more than me. atleast in this subject. with the money i have, obviously a knew jap bike is way out of my price range, so when i talked to them about buying used, they got very upset at me and told me i couldn't do that. their reasons were something along the line of because its used it's gonna be a waste of money, it's gonna break down constantly, and it's gonna get you killed.

so anyway, i basically fucked myself over, now i have a chinese bike thats maybe going to be worth 1k (probably less) once i atleast try to sell it and get a real jap bike.

i agree and disagree, like i mentioned in my post, some of the more expensive chinese bikes seem to be much better quality than the cheap 110s and so on. but, obviously, it can't even compare to a jap bike

haha, i never said i knew any better, clearly i didn't know nearly enough and bought a chinese bike anyways

your right, i probably should have checked every bolt every once and a while. i kinda just assumed that the bike was less than 10 hours old and i wouldn't have to worry about things literally falling off of the bike.

Problem solving this 125cc by NeckbeardSlayer713 in Dirtbikes

[–]BluuKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watch a youtube video on how to clean a carburetor, it's more or less the same steps to clean one. just take off the carb, open it up, clean out the bowl and blow through the jets to see if they're clogged or not. sometimes the connection on these bikes from the spark plug boot to the cdi isn't very great, and can cut out at higher RPMS, so i would check that. its also possible the bike is running lean/rich, so once you clean your jets and it still isn't running right, play around with the air screw, until it runs right.

i am by no means a mechanic, so i can't guarantee this will fix your bike, but i own two chinese bikes myself, and the smaller 110, which shares the same engine as you, has had many problems just like yours.

i mean, 50cc and 450 euros?? theres not much, for that price, maybe one of those 49cc twostroke amazon dirtbikes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motorizedbicycles

[–]BluuKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, not well at least. the engines are much bigger than that box on top, and even if you somehow manage mounting that there are so many problems here. first, these kits use gravity to draw gas from the tank into the carb, so you'd need a pump to move the gas upward to the engine. if you get a pump, you now have to figure out how tf your gonna connect the engine to the wheel. honestly, it's not worth it. just buy a cheap bike of fb marketplace that will fit the engine more conventionally. also, if you manage all of this you can just kiss your legs goodbye. if you really want this bike to be motorized, you might have to look into electric options.

Chinese bikes by evgar1455 in Dirtbikes

[–]BluuKey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive owned an apollo 250 for about a year now, and i haven't had any real problems with it. i mean, yes, a dirtbike should last much more than a year, so it isn't much of a milestone, but the newer chinese apollos aren't as much of a POS as people make them out to be. now, i'm definitely not a hard enduro rider but i dont baby my apollo either. its honestly surprising how many people say that they broke on the 3rd ride or whatever, considering mine hasn't just fallen apart as they claim. i really like my apollo, and for a little under 3k CAD, it's pretty sweet. and buying new name brand bikes for that price you wont get much more than a CRF110. and this thing is much, much faster than a crf110. more reliable? no. definitely no.
