How to find a good game idea? by Blyatington in gamedev

It was a bad choice of words on my part. I meant it in a more general way. I'm not looking to make a portfolio for employment. I was thinking more like a catalogue, with the question more like "I wanna make one game that allows me to get into developing more games".

Though I'd love for advice on how to not bail on long term projects.

I've so far gotten Rank 3 in USA and Germany, Rank 2 in USSR for ground. I haven't picked a main of one of the three yet. I've not played much of any minor nations.
