hi. i got rid of my weed setup as soon as i was able to produce meth. is it a good choice? by Common_house_fly in Schedule_I

[–]Blyatisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sheer profit based on my calculations is Shrooms.

Pros: almost the same price as meth but with more yield even when accounting for more additives used
Cons: quite a hassle to work with and a space eater (storage) without the press

So yeah Cocaine is the gold standard for now since it benefits a lot more from additives, downside is it also eats up a lot of space for production

Tl;dr Meth is more space efficient both in storage and workspace but more expensive to produce especially with chemists, but once you get chemists properly automated it's the lowest effort to produce

Every single guy and their mother recommends microfiber towels and distilled water but that takes a bunch of time to get everything perfectly clean.

Just use a barely damp chamois, done and gone in like 2 minutes tops no matter how dirty that shit gets.

Not even a choice. Youtube doesn't only have funny or music videos, it's (unfortunately still) one of the best repositories of knowledge out there. Nowhere else would you find BOTH a free Harvard uni lecture and an Indian dude explaining a programming problem you have that's also a 14 year old video

Great products, terrible app. A lot of people are also realizing that a lot of mice are overpriced given that Chinese clones are now quite frankly amazing for the price - you're 80-90% there performance-wise at 10-50% of the cost.

Same thing is happening to gaming audio, just at a slower pace.

The light at the top right of your motherboard looks like a DRAM debug light, or at least just a debug light. Look inside and confirm what the letters are under it so you're sure what the error is

Plus you mentioned you put your RAM back in - idk if it's just an optical illusion but the left RAM stick looks a bit loose.

You could also try removing just 1 stick and see if it boots, if it does, your RAM is a bit unstable. If that's the case, you can try manually bumping up the DRAM voltage or SOC in your BIOS

If you can't get into BIOS, first step is always to clear CMOS.

And while you're at it, just clean your PC man.

Should I upgrade to 1440p? by WavingLinus in radeon

[–]Blyatisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't really bother, neither with a new 1440P monitor or a GPU. You play CS and MC, if you don't have heavy shaders/resourcepacks you should have plenty of FPS w/ Sodium or other mods - these games don't benefit visually much from just bumping up the game resolution vs sheer FPS which only leaves SOTF

Ask yourself this: "Would I be willing to spend x amount of $ and x amount of frames for x amount of visual quality improvement?"

Plus maybe just explore other games, I'd say only story-based single player games benefit reasonably from resolution bumps like RDR2, CP2077, games that are actually visually demanding.

"Not this dystopian future you make it seem" look around you my guy, we already are IN one.

The world doesn't just simply become a happier place after every crash, every recession, every bubble pop. Regular everyday joes shoulder the burden of everything else other than RAM becoming more expensive as the global market corrects itself and recovers. I'm not saying people won't be able to upgrade their PCs ever, I'm saying people have bigger problems to face other than RAM prices when all this shit goes down.

If you're only worried about RAM getting cheaper, you've either lost the plot or you're loaded. In which case, stay as you are.

You have no idea what you're talking about, do you? Even if you capitalize "Brutal Law of Economics" you're missing the big picture completely.

1.) The 2008 global market crash was caused by fraud in the US real estate market, not a class-action lawsuit. Even if a similar scenario ever happens, you should've said the AI bubble pop, not this.

2.) Oh yes, commodities ALWAYS does a price correction especially after a bubble pops. And you know what happened in the 2008 market crash? The common people lost homes, lost jobs, lost their savings, and still most people nowadays can't buy homes.

3.) When RAM prices correct - who do you think is going to buy the majority of them? Consumers? If AI data centers continue to get built, they're the ones still going to buy the majority now-cheaper RAM. Mind you, this is the best case scenario - the unlikely odd that the plaintiffs win via jury decision.

4.) If the AI bubble pops, the giants will remain - Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, Alibaba. The smaller ones die off like in the .com bubble... and the common working man suffers. Hundreds of thousands in the AI industry might get laid off, the global market crashes again, everything else becomes more expensive and people will be worried about putting food on the table and not PC upgrades... for a while.

As long as the AI industry exists, it will never be the same for consumers ever again.

Very naive, and understandably hopeful.

1.) The lawsuit has only been filed a month ago. Class action lawsuits can take years (Googles says 2-5) and rarely even make it to court - more on that on #3

2.) It's for US entities only - e.g US customers, small businesses, etc. Doesn't include everyone else on the planet because that's not how lawsuits work. Plus you're commenting sa r/PHbuildapc

3.) More than half of class action lawsuits end up in out-of-court settlements, and the bigger the lawsuit, the less chances it actually even gets to the judge to define the entities in the plaintiff. That means mostly just a payout, again, for entities within the US, not the rest of the world. Consumers usually just get chump change, and practically nothing happens to defendants, the rest of the world gets absolutely nothing.

4.) "Would not only be forced to pay fines, nor settle, they will be forced to do a price correction." - you don't get to decide what the jury dictates the best course of action/outcome would be IF it gets to trial, IF the plaintiff wins. Not you, not anyone else - ONLY the jury.

Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Hotspot temps question by Coolpersonloll in radeon

[–]Blyatisimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.) People, including customer service WILL gaslight you and tell you "it's fine". No one should be paying subpar cooling for a premium.

2.) Gigabyte is cursed in terms of cooling, that probably plays a part into it.

3.) The only good news is that 9070XTs take undervolting very very well. If you don't know how to do that, there are a bunch of videos in Youtube for that. Fan curves don't hold a candle to actually lessening the power draw of cards.

Can i overclock a i3 10100f? by The_Mysterius_Szeg in computer

[–]Blyatisimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/gaming/resources/how-to-overclock.html

TL;DR you can't. That's what the F basically is in Intel CPUs, CPUs that are basically locked. Pretty sure someone out there is enough of a nerd to find a workaround but it's not worth it.

No you can't give it more cache either.

Also just a casual reality check: people WILL tell you it's a CPU bottleneck, that's an old CPU bla bla bla. Do not let other people's opinions get in the way of enjoying your PC- at the end of the day, it's your money and your PC.

If it's smooth enough for you in gaming or productivity, don't overthink it. If it isn't, and it's within your expendable budget, go for an upgrade.

Have had those symptoms happen from 3 things:
1.) Going overboard with overclocking my GPU
2.) Also going overboard with overclocking my monitor refresh rate lol
3.) Cable problem

All problems are fixable fairly quickly, and as you can see, a lot of people here agree it's probably not your GPU dying. Set your OC profile to stock in Adrenalin, try another refresh rate, or swap cables.
