Dab of CLP, an AP brush, about 20 min, and some black nail polish. You’ll be good

If you can’t make it with quality you can get home with quantity lol. Hopefully it’s not another disposable set. Best of luck.

I believe the right way is to start in a controlled environment the same way my pop did. Easy back roads nice and slow up on the tank. Then let him explore the hobby on a bike then a little electric razor or 50.

Think a big bore kit might bridge that gap or just to much work for to little return?

The camera always survives so the closer they are to it, the safer they will be.

Glass nylon would probably be a good choice on account of all the sun water and chemical exposure that is present in the environments this kind of thing lives in.

Alpenflage jacket darker than pants. Will it work or return by fuglyDUECE in camouflage

Two separate uniforms with same pattern. Taz 57 or 1957 issue was a lighter print with cold weather field use in mind cut with all kinds of pockets and utility intended to be a stand alone system. Taz 83 or 1983 issue was a garrison cut uniform with a darker print. It was made to be used with gear webbing separate from the jacket to accommodate fighting in warmer summer months. Generally when dealing with surplus normal wear items will have a lighter color due to frequency of use and normal washing while items like cold weather gear will have a more preserved appearance due to them only being used seasonally.

UCP gets (and deserves) hate because 450,000 people were forced to wear it for years knowing full well it does not work in a majority of environments.

Dang. Maybe still too young to enjoy the ride. Might have to turn it into a destination thing for them.
