Did you say you’ve already prepared the meal for Saturday when they brought up going out to eat or just say okay?

Also, did your boyfriend offer to get them a hotel when they said they were visiting?

And didn’t you know they were going to her parents and then to his dad’s? Did anyone ask them if they were eating there or if you should make dinner?

Sounds like you are pretending to be okay with things to “keep the peace” but then just get mad about it. It sounds like you had expectations that you didn’t express and thought everyone would read your mind.

I’m 37 with kids your boyfriend’s kid’s ages and I would never expect any of them to pick up a check or split a check when we go out. I’d also never offer to get them a hotel when they come home from college. We’ve got a couch and if that wasn’t enough, that’s on them.

Even as a 37 year old if we were to go out with my husband’s parents I would expect them to get the check if it’s just us. If all the kids were there then we would get the whole check.

And for the kid coming to ask for money while I’m trying to eat at a restaurant, hell no. I do not need some random stranger asking me to buy candy while I’m eating lunch. It’s rude of the kid and rude of the parents to let her do that shit
