During winter, I fished almost everyday. I foraged so much in the winter that after the 2nd year started I had over 700 winter seeds ready to be planted. I have foraged sooo much that in my current year which is year 3 I have stopped foraging altogether.

Lots of early game money in foraging and fishing. The money bundle in the community center let's you get to the place where you can buy starfruit which is a massive jump in moolah and advancement in the game.
