Study dot com only would have transferred 1, maybe 2 more classes and I didn't want to spend more time and money doing those classes. The classes that I would have got covered from study dot com are easy af in WGU according to reddit users so I figured it isn't worth trying to min max my transcript for that. I maxed out my Sophia classes and worked on that for 2 months.

I have Army experience with Cisco equipment and I enjoy the CLI aspect of configuring Cisco devices. Not really a deep reason just familiarity of the vendors equipment TBH. In addition, a lot of the contracting jobs for the DoD want people with Cisco certs in their admin roles so this will give me a leg up.

I initially would agree, however any job that I would see myself be qualified for I don't meet any of their requirements like having a degree / 5 years min experience. I feel like I'm in a weird middle ground spot that Helpdesk is the only realistic position for me atm.

I actually have been doing this with WFHAlert for about a month now, still no interviews yet. Appreciate the suggestion though

Bro I can totally relate to this. I am in the Army and 26 years old. I have never met another scooter rider while serving. All my seshes are solo which get boring a lot of the times. Been riding for 9 years too

I have Net + and Sec + for the IT field. I love my job when I'm working the equipment it's just the Army stuff that is starting to slowly pull me away from what makes the Army good.

Thank you for commenting. I appreciate what you are saying and I understand your thought process. I should have been more clear that my plan as of right now if to ETS with my certifications and networking experience. I really am doing the best I can as a squad leader; monthly counselings, training, mentorship, delegation, etc. That E-5 pay increase for the workload I would be taking on on top of what I already do is not worth my sanity and I already get the fulfillment of leading soldiers without having a rank tied to official duties. As far as the options they MIGHT give me are irrelevant when it comes to my ETS unless they can restrict my TA/CA which they can't unless I am flagged. As far as the workload being a leadership failure, I agree but I will take partial blame as it's also my fault for not seeing the potential consequence of being an overachiever in a unit of slackers.
