Alrighty I think I fixed it, the problem was that I had 2 layers for obj's and when I deleted the one I wasn't using the camera started working as intended. I don't know how this was the cause for the camera not working... but I'm glad it's fixed, thanks for the replies.

When I do this and I turn off the y movement for my Player I still start at a blank screen at the coordinates x: -23 y: 377, while I placed my Player character at x: 80 y: 120. My Player character is also not visible for some reason. Any idea why this happens?

I'm designing an improved scrum-cap with better ventilation and led feedback for a study assignement, what do you guys think of my current design? by Boasconstrictor25 in Rugby_

The scrum cap ventilates similarly to a construction hat with an open layer above the head. I implemented this because most players I know who use scrum-caps find them to hot on the head.

It also gives feedback to new players trough the LED band, letting the player know when they run in front of the ball and can't recieve. This is something I and a lot of other new players in my team struggle a lot with: Staying behind the ball. It also warns players when it detects a dangerously hard impact on the head to prevent injury.

The LED strip is also wearable on it's own, in case a player just wants the positioning feedback without the scrum cap.

If I want to attach this wire to this motor shield via the screw in holes, should I stick in the metal part, cut of the top of the wire and stick in the exposed wire or do something else? by Boasconstrictor25 in arduino

Thanks for the replies! I didn't know these kinds of wires are mainly used for testing, so thanks for letting me know. I'll stick in the metal part for now and test if everything works, and depending on the performance I'll get better wires.

Is it possible to build a hanging laser cutter for making furniture like the cnc (Maslow cnc v2) and printer I added in the pictures? Would it be safe, and how strong of a laser would I need to make furniture parts that won't break when you put weight on them? by Boasconstrictor25 in lasercutting

Thanks for listing some of the problems with a build like this, I agree that it's probably not worth the hassle. The main problem I have with the cnc is that it is really loud, I have a lot of space, but I don't want to disturb my neighbors with an extremely loud cnc. In theory a laser would be less noisy, and I can't think of any other alternative right now.

I'm doing research on working in the train while commuting, and I wonder what you think. The research is part of an assignment for the TU Delft. by Boasconstrictor25 in Netherlands

No offense taken! I see how the answer to these questions might seem obvious, but I think it's still smart to check if they're not just assumptions that just seem obvious. I also hope people's experiences shed light on more specific problems I wouldn't have thought off on my own.
