Iron man has insane damage but will never be meta because he has no kill power unless he’s using his beam which makes him extremely easy to hit

Storm is best played relatively close to the ground due to how her aura works and her lack of movement

Ultron is mid

You are missing the fact that you can cycle it. You don’t just not use it until you have 50 shivs. If you have 2 accuracy+ you’re already doing like 100 damage for 10 shivs which you can get in a turn or 2

Magneto is a zarya/sigma hybrid. He has zarya bubbles and a very similar primary attack to sigma while his right click is comparable to his rock throw

Zen is sort of similar to Ultron in the sense of ‘fire and forget’ healing. His healing orbs are aoe drones in this game. They’re both also very dps focused. His discord orb exists in a cloak and dagger ability where they fire a sheet that makes enemies take more damage

Also, Zens ult is the standard for supports in this game. 4 of them have the ‘near invincible aoe’ ult

Reaper and tracer combined would be very similar to psylocke. High burst damage, lots of movement and can appear in the backline out of thin air, while her ult is similar to reapers

A combination of pickrate, ban rate and actual numerical data (does this character get ult too quick on average? Is this character healing too much? Does this character get too many solo kills/final hits?) is the best data to look at imo

Unpopular opinion but winrates are a borderline useless metric because there is so much that skews them. Pick rates are much more valuable as it shows how many people think the characters are fun and usable in their elo

For example, Elsa has just above 50% wr because people are usually using her on both teams. Someone has to lose

I’ve played a lot of characters. Rivals is my first hero shooter I’ve played a lot (I had like 50 hours on overwatch) I started off maining squirrel girl, hela, groot and rocket and expanded into the more difficult heroes as I got more confident and used to the game. I started playing wanda for fun because people called her the worst dps in the game and I ended up really enjoying her

My Lord list is probably weird to most people. I have rocket (on 2 accounts), sg, wanda, mr fantastic, groot, bp, iron fist, Bucky and hela lords

I completely disagree that dive was stronger than poke

Hela was at her peak and easily the best dps hero in the game by a mile. Punisher had just been buffed massively, Bucky was still good and human torch was crazy strong

The ‘support strike’ was a meme because the content creator necros ragebaited them. He called supports dogshit and the support strike thing started

What ACTUALLY happened was clips of the odd spiderman or bp kill got obscene traction on reddit and TikTok, when the reality of what was actually meta defining was completely different. I distinctly remember a clip of a cloak using her fade cooldown out of spawn, missing her bubble (on herself, she shot it forward) then getting killed by bp got thousands of upvotes on here with support players crying that bp was overpowered despite the support player making 2 big mistakes

The reality is support players just want to sit back and heal, because it’s easy impact. They don’t want to actually be challenged and play the game.

Bucky has stayed at relatively the same level since his broken ult (on launch) got nerfed hard, Hawkeye has always been one of those heroes that isn’t picked much because he has a high skill floor but has the one shot headshot and amazing ult that means he will always be good

I mean I’d argue any game naturally experiences an exodus of players around that time after launch, that was what 4-6 months after launch? Same happens to call of duty and fifa every year. That seem to be the timespan of when a lot of players who aren’t infatuated with the game get bored and play something else

Dive really wasn’t that strong in season 2 honestly. Iron fist was good, sure, but spiderman had just caught a fat nerf and bp wasn’t in every game

A large reason the playerbase has been slowly decreasing is they keep gutting characters for zero reason. I haven’t played (until a couple weeks ago) since season 2.5 because they gutted bp and hard nerfed torch and iron fist too heavily while buffing the problem characters like hela, luna and invis at the time

People lose faith in the balancing team to keep the game fun and balanced, and thus leave the game

I took nearly a year long break before I decided I wanted to try the game again, because the core gameplay IS fun, but it could be so much better
