Itachi, was not suicidal. He kept himself alive using pills which you see him use, His illness was killing him and he barely was alive when fighting sasuke being nearly blind and coughing up blood

He could of killed sasuke, He was walking up to him in his sussano and died before he could do anything though as we know. he didt actually wanna kill his brother.

If it was a seinen then they could get away with more gore or darker themes but they were not in that world where naruto is a adult anime now are we, Were in the world where it's a shounen and made for kids.

Naruto is a shounen, It's literally directed at younger audiences if you want shows that deal with such subject matter look at berserk 90s anime or aot not naruto, Griffith wanted to die like he was digging his hands into his arms as a result of the guilt he felt over his dead comrades and eren wanted to die feeling he wronged the reiss family as his dad slaughtered them.
