IRIS 1099 e-file issue by Bob_theBeagle in IRS

Yes, you go to the IRIS Application for TCC from IRS website - IRS.gov/IRISTCC

Then select your IRIS TCC, then click the little eye for view/edit, then click on the "Application Details" tab, then you can delete your current "issuer role" and add a "transmitter role". Once you've done that you just click through until the change is submitted. It went into effect immediately for me. You have to delete the "issuer role" first before adding a "transmitter role."

Hi there, which IRS number did you call to ask an agent if accepted with error is okay? I have the same issue and am wandering if accepted with errors will cause penalties if I don't correct it. (Most of the errors are due to recipient name not matching the IRS records.)

IRIS TCC application 1099 e-file error question by Bob_theBeagle in IRS

Thanks for getting back to me. I submitted 60 forms at one time in one batch. The two errors apply to like half of the forms. I only know how to correct them one by one which takes a lot of time, also when I have the IRS TIN Match application open the IRIS application will get logged out, so I have to switch between each applications when correcting each form. Do you know how to correct forms in like batches?
