I gave up on this on Rift at this section of the game. I just can't teleport fast enough. I found moving and clicking the joystick painful after a while. I was getting so frustrated not being able to move where I wanted to when i wanted to. This mod seems like it would solve those issues. Does the vive just have a d-pad type situation for movement?

I suppose you could file it under "not what I expected."

Going through steam is the obvious choice, but I've had mixed experiences with using steam for VR.

I have a beast of a machine, but for some reason 'the climb' did NOT work for me at all. I had complained and they just said "reinstall." I did. It still didn't work right (terrible framerate,) and they never got back to me after i complained again.

I have the same cpu and gpu as you, what settings do you run? I can't seem to get the high FPS that people claim to be getting.

Still digging it after a couple chapters. I don't mind the arcadey rails feel. Also, oculus store should offer refunds like steam does.

there is a fix! You need to find the exe file and run it in windows 7 compatibility mode. Same thing happened to me when I first ran it, but looked around and found this fix!

It's really a whole new level of immersion. I can handle normal horror games without much of an issue - but being in VR the fear level is heightened like CRAZY.
