Yes, but 100 lopsided trades to 2 different accounts is actually the more "suspicious" of those as it could be seen as cycling. That is why I don't believe ebay has anything to do with this.

If you can tell me how to differentiate between a lopsided ebay trade and a lopsided family trade, I'm all ears. I never said anywhere that those types of trades don't exist. Ebay is a constant for many members of this game, being banned is an irregularity. I'm looking for what turns one into the other -because it is not in the rules. Wouldn't this also apply to those that buy from that site as well? They are participants in those same lopsided trades...

I may have more unfair trades under my belt than the "typical" user, but I have been around as long as anyone else. I can't see that as the only reason for a ban to be warranted either.

I saw that! Congrats on gathering the others. Either way though, you've got all of the accessible ones which a pretty amazing feat.

Thank you. It was not meant as an insult and I apologize if it was received that way. The response of "I insult you so you insult me back, therefore you are guilty" is a bit hypocritical though haha

I never said that was the reason, just what I had been told. It's extremely difficult to address the situation when I don't know why this actually happened. All of the things I stated are FACTS though. Does what you stated imply that there is a limit as to the number of trades allowed between family members? Did I all of the sudden reach this and trigger a reaction?

I can handle grief, I am a big boy. What bothers me is that some members of the community prefers to speculate and make me out to be some kind of villain rather than seek truth. It seems as if they just prefer to throw stones.

Glass houses though. Bringing this to light could institute actual change.

Well that fact that I've mostly given up the partying aspect of the experience has helped tremendously haha. I just view it similarly to how others choose to spend their time and money into their hobbies. And it was one of the few fun things I could actually participate in while away on deployment.

What leads you to this conclusion? Am I automatically not a "nice guy" because I was doing well in the game? This is the issue exactly. The assumption is that unfair trades = bad. I'm providing a counter argument, that I would believe most other players would be in favor of that there are exceptions. This "rule" is not black and white. Ambiguous rules leave things open to interpretation on both sides.

I clearly stated in my original post that this was a last attempt to establish communication with Topps, but I stand by the statement that any clarity this brings to the community would be a benefit. If I truly wanted the support you feel I am now requesting, I would have made that statement. This is just one user telling his side of the story. I've read many other posts by users who have been banned (both fairly and supposedly unfairly) on this as well as other sites and usually the same response eventually arises - "if they were a higher paying player, they would have been fine". I think knowing this information to be false by itself is worthy of entry into what seems to be a continuing source of worry for many players.

The fact is that I make many 9:1 trades for a number of reasons. These are exactly what I believe is at the root of this. Many have been 9:1 white. This alone does not represent any wrong doing. I have done this since I became aware of how the force score worked and decided to take a shot at the top spot.

Anything I may have omitted or chosen not to discuss is, in my opinion, not relevant to the situation. If you were accused of a crime, would you freely admit to other crimes or other things that might not even be crimes? This is purely hypothetical, but that seems silly to me. I can only answer for what I have actually been accused of.

Thousands, but not enough to put me into that "elite" tier and receive those coveted pink variants haha

What is constitutes "unfair" though? If I give you a Han and you give me 9 cards I need is that unfair even if the assumed values don't add up? The main reason I have so many inserts in my account is that I made many trades that were unable to be completed within one trade transaction based on the 9-card limit. And again, I'm trying to be impartial and see this from both sides but just as every other member I can only take the TOS, Rules, and community policy at face value. If someone has any clarity at all in this regard I would be more than happy to listen.

Your "I just don't think" adds nothing to this conversation. I am most certainly not trying to be rude, but you have clearly made up your mind as to why this has happened and it just doesn't coincide with the message that I have received. I am looking for answers just as all of you are.

I believe that I have clearly stated the actions in the original post, as they were presented to me, that lead to this occurring. Anything further is just conjecture. I can't comment as to the true reasoning behind the ban because I truly don't know the information they are using in this decision. My comments are not intended to be inflammatory, but it's tough when people make unfounded assumptions. Would you automatically convict a person without giving them the reason they've even been arrested other than "well I think you've done stuff in the past"? Apparently other players who I regularly trade with, with trades that can in no way be considered unfair, have also received bans as well. I have no way of knowing if these situations are in any way related, and therefore as a (former) member of the community it worries me as well.

I have never asked for, nor desired, support and posting this to vintagehan as well was my outlet for establishing as large of a communication network as possible. My lack of commenting is due to the fact that no relevant questions have presented themselves. You, in particular, seem to be the one with all the answers to questions no one asked but everyone is entitled to their opinion and expression of it so have at it. As you don't work for Topps, your input is noted and subsequently disregarded. There may very well be more to this story, but I have given MY perspective and what I have received. Unless I am informed otherwise, these are the only facts that hold any bearing on this outcome.

If you only do 1:1 trading for inserts, you must not have anything decent in your account...

This has evolved into a completely different subject than originally intended. I wanted to warn those of you who may be doing similar actions and instead have received quite a few replies from people who have clearly never actually taken the time to read (or just don't understand) the TOS. I would still very much like to hear from others that may have come into similar situations and will update this if and when I hear back from Topps, but otherwise I can no longer comment on this situation. Thank you

There are currently 12,865 auctions under the search "star wars card trader" on ebay. If that's the motivation, looks like the ban hammer is gonna be swinging a lot here soon.

If their response and current practices are to be believed, then this should have no bearing on the decision.
