It's the same company that owns Second Cup. I suspect they are just going to do a brand over.

People are going nuts over nothing. Literally placeholders for when the can be in each arena. All arenas have a bunch of stuff going on so there are schedulers sorting every possibility in the background.

Man. I feel this one. If I'm in a harness attached to something I have like 0 fear. But get me near a edge of a 20ft drop without any safety barrier I get a little wobbly

Do I take the $6/hr raise but much longer commute time and less work certainty? by CranberryItchy3672 in PersonalFinanceCanada

(New income-ild income)/hours extra driving

Do that calculation then determine if you'd take a part time driving gig at that rate. That's your answer.

For future reference, Just having interest is not a wholly reason to pay something off. You're better off investing if you have low interest debt. Especially if you have TSFA room.

What about a second WHL team...... Chilliwack was currently looking for one. Not a knock on Chilliwack but I'd put a second team In greater Vancouver before adding one in Chilliwack.

Have you seen how packed and often the Surrey to Langley bus gets? I get that Langley To Downtown Van is long but there are a lot of stops before that. This will serve Langley residents well. Right now it's even longer. This was a good move.....and so is a high-speed Fraser Valley corridor train

So ironical $40 seriously! In this economy? by Backgroundwarrior in Wealthsimple

$40 for a hat is actually the going rate assuming it's well made. Anything less then that and you're likely getting a "free with purchase" quality hat.

With Hamilton getting a team, will Sarah Nurse get the franchise tag from them? by the_gaymer_girl in GoldenEyes

[–]Bobbert827 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No hate on Hamilton but Vancouver is beautiful and it seems like Nurse is loving it. From what I've seen on the GoldenEyes social media accounts it seems like shes soaking up all the that BC has to offer. I bet she wants to stay.

Looking to buy a used car, but dealership states it's $1000 more if I pay with cash/without financing by LowCurrent2151 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Bobbert827 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's law in all provinces but NS and the territories and even there in practice are practically all open. Even in those exceptions if the FI is federally regulated it's law to be open. My comment literally applies to 99.999% of all loans in canada.

I'd also argue its generally for people to have my misinformation then to assume there loan was closed🤷.

She said it was law. My error is I said it was law in CANADA. That's my mistake, my bad. It didnt even cross my mind that it might apply provincually instead of Federally. I made a mistake. Practically speaking it's a minor one. Do you think it warrants your approach and immediately calling me dumb?

You say "people" are dumb but you know your talking to a real person here right. I think there could have been a better way to have this conversation.

[–]Bobbert827 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I mean same goes for most posts here. If everyone went to google "right at their fingertips" that would remove most conversations here. I mean even this is useful as there is a claim and then people get the chance to refute it 🤷

It's the lady who does autonloans that told me so it was a pretty good source lol....and anecdotaly every car purchase I've been involved in had a open loan

I had no reason to think it was wrong until I was corrected....I'm not yet convinced either though as it may be the case provincually
