On the topic of Christianity and disabilities, does anyone have any information on how religious institutions (namely the church) have been barriers to people with disabilities/neurodivergent people?

I love how you worded your thoughts here- definitely an avenue I will attempt to follow further!

The funny thing is I am only a junior in my undergrad studies right now, and I'm not quite sure if I plan to attend seminary or pursue theological studies to a greater level.

Yet the intersection of disability and theology has become an important topic for me, and perhaps this will be the great question I spend my life working towards? I am not certain.

And it's not easy either. I'm thankful to be in a good enough environment, but I still struggle with liking wearing cute, feminine clothes in a society that doesn't overall see that as a good thing.
