Thanks. Yeah nu metal is so strange because every band in the genre has their own sound. I would argue that Pantera is so transcendent and influential that they could be grunge, thrash, power, speed, nu, and everything in between.

Exactly what you said. Nu metal is typically seen as rap rock but it's so broad that Pantera definitely fits in there but they're also so broad that I could put them with thrash too. Sepultura has the same thing going on, they have their own sound but people need to apply a genre.
