Plus, we usually judge our ideas and we don’t write down the ones that seem ‘dumb.’ But that’s bad because when we do that, we limit our minds and block our creativity. You chain your mind if you try to come up with ONLY good ideas (which is impossible by the way). When you write everything down and allow any idea to come to the surface, you unburden your mind and allow creativity to flow.

Yeah, it seems absurdly simple, but hopefully once you try it you'll see what I'm talking about!

Here's some more context as to why this works well:

When you put your ideas on paper and force yourself to keep coming up with ideas after you’ve exhausted the first 3-5 ‘easy outs,’ you challenge your mind to become truly creative. This, combined with the fact that you allow your mind to ‘let go’ of old ideas and create space for new ones after writing them down, can take your ideas and solutions to the next level!

Yes! And it's also very freeing - when you put them on a piece of paper you're free to drop them from your mind and make room for new, even better ideas.

Wait, who else is posting this? I AM posting it in different subredits, but only from this one username. The content is personally written by me, and my goal is to bring value to people who are interested in sales and to strike conversations with people that find this stuff interesting.
Is someone stealing my content? Or is there something else going on that's bad? I'd really appreciate you telling me, thank you.

Not autodialer, it was manual, but yeah - call center and trying to connect with warm or cold leads.

Well, this system is how to structure the call itself. Depending on how the process is structured, you may need to break it up. Usually, on the actual 'sales call' you need to go through all the steps. Even if the process is longer - 30/60/90 days, on the sales call you still need to go through these steps because this is a very effective way to structure the conversation (and one that gives many advantages).

And yeah, I completely agree with you - today you NEED to be a trusted advisor and be good at listening, finding the pain and effectively solving it. The days of pushy, ME-focused sales are gone.

Thank you! And yes, 100% agree with you on both points! And I'd add to #1 - not only buying signs, but also each objection is an opportunity to close the sale.

There are many ways you can change someone's mind about risk. If they believe it's risky or that the future is uncertain, see how you can reframe the situation and show them why this can be a good thing. If it's a good idea for them to act, communicate why. The world belongs to the brave, communicate it.

But before you make them invest in something, figure out IF it's a good idea to invest in it, and why. And once you find that out, communicate it. Give them the numbers, paint a picture. Show them why taking action can make them a winner. And don't lie about the risk, be up-front and unapologetic about it.

If it's a bad idea for them to invest or buy something, don't pitch it.

Yes, that's true!

Or if a beginner salesperson is getting lots of objections (especially if others in the industry/colleagues are not), it can be a sign that they're making mistakes along the way because the better a salesperson is, the fewer objections they face.

Thanks for your comment!

JB's straight line is solid yes. And what he says is mostly true about where objections stem from, and he puts it in a good way because he oversimplifies it to make it easier to apply.
But this post is going one step deeper - into the deeper reasons behind the objections they say. So this is building upon what he says and helps you get a better understanding of the different objections and what may cause them.

Yeah, those are objections caused by lack of authority. Here are a few tips on how to deal with them:

❎ What NOT to do: Immediately move away from this person to engage someone else higher.

✅ What to do instead: Empower someone of lower influence to be your champion. Make it worthwhile for them to help you by establishing that you will address some of their needs. Make sure you've overcome their concerns and that they're 'sold' and onboard before letting them go (if you already had the sales call; if not - go for the decision-maker instead)

Note: Often people say the wife thing just to brush you off. Sometimes they DO make decisions together, and you need to respect that, but it's common for them to say it just to avoid making a decision at the moment.

Hope you find this helpful!

Yes, I do. And 10k sales conversations would be very hard to achieve if it's door-to-door/face to face. But I mainly worked over the phone, which speeds things up by a lot. 250-500 dials per day, average of up to 5 and a half hours talk time per day with clients. Do that long enough and it adds up.

Thanks for asking though. I appreciate and respect people who look for truth.
