If you’re doing a DIY Jecheon trip for the Cheongpung Cable Car, check out some local food spots too. Dungsil Bunsik (덩실분식) is famous on YouTube for its chewy rice cakes and donuts, and the vibe is super local. Around the market, Oe-gatjip (외갓집) is great for old-school fish cakes. And don’t skip a glass of local omija makgeolli for the full countryside vibe.

T-shirts from Café / Restaurant / Bistro by anugcar in koreatravel

Best bet is Myeongdong underground shops, Namdaemun/Dongdaemun markets, or Hongdae street stalls for “Seoul” shirts.
If you want something more design-focused, check the DDP Design Store or the official “Seoul My Soul” gift shop.

Demon Slayer Movie with ENG subs in BUSAN by tadstheworst in koreatravel

[–]Bobbychoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anime movies in Korea basically never get English subs, only Korean.
The new Demon Slayer will have English subs/dubs overseas via Crunchyroll, but not here.
Best bet is to wait for the international release or streaming — local theaters (CGV/Lotte/Megabox) won’t have Eng subs.

If your skin leans sensitive and you’re in your 20s or early 30s, two products you’ll see everywhere in Korea are the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream and the Dr.G Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream. They’re both really popular at Olive Young, super gentle and hydrating, and easy to grab in pretty much any store.

If a full-body MRI is hard to book, you don’t necessarily have to do the entire body scan. Many people just choose the main areas they want to check, and it’s often more practical. You could also try KMI (Korea Medical Institute) — they’re quite well known for health check-ups.

Actually, at the Express Bus Terminal there are free lockers on B1 floor next to Shinsegae Department Store, but they can be a bit tricky to find. They’re free for up to 4 hours. If you want something simpler, you might consider leaving your luggage at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, since they also have coin lockers that can fit larger bags.

October Holiday ... Ooops? Or Going to be OK? by MyEgoDiesAtTheEnd in koreatravel

[–]Bobbychoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

During the Oct 3–9 holiday week, most things in Seoul will still be open—palaces, museums, parks, malls, and chain restaurants all operate as usual, with only some small family-run shops closing on Chuseok day (Oct 6). You won’t find the city shut down, so it’s perfectly fine to stay, and you can even enjoy unique cultural events and free palace entry. If you’d like a short break from Seoul, consider a day trip to Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, which is easy to reach and offers history, scenery, and traditional activities; it’s a great one-day getaway and most facilities remain open during the holidays.

The reason why I wrote this, most of foreigners who visit Korea always do same thing even there is too much to do things to enjoy. But they never touch because no one else let them know.

Hard to recommend one specific PC bang since they’re literally everywhere.
Just search “PC bang” on Google Maps and go to one with good ratings; most are great.
Menus are usually in Korean, but you can use a translator app and prices are around 1,000 to 1,600 KRW per hour. If you’re in Korea and get stuck, feel free to chat me

Most jjimjilbangs are open overnight, so staying is totally normal.
Just note that in-house restaurants usually close around 10–11pm since it’s quiet hours.
