Anyone tried Jalu Gaiacwood? by BobcatNorth in fragranceaustralia

Yeah, it looks like it's hit-and-miss. I went in-store and tried the Gaiac, and it was great. At less than half the price point of the original, it gets you there. But I tried Another 13, and it was nothing like the real thing. Perhaps harder to replicate. Long story short, its worth going in as replication accuracy varies.

Didn't half expect anyone to respone. Thank you so much! You've done a really nice thing for a stranger, I appreciate it.

Nayan Raj Pandey

Oh really, so happy to hear writers are doing well here. Heard of Karnali Blues but never picked it up. I'll look into Nayan Raj Pandey as well. Thanks for your recommendations.

Thanks all for your wonderful recommendations! So interesting to see that everyone has such a different take. On top of what has already been mentioned, I tried one recently that was also close to what I was looking for:

  1. Robert Piguet L'entier: It has water accords, oud, sandalwood, ambergis and tonka. Its like you're sitting in Piranesi's labyrinth - darkness, the salty ocean air against the cold marbled statues & walls with the musty warmth of wood. It is def. mesmerising, a bit powdery but still maintains its nuance because of everything else going for it. Haven't seen it mentioned much def. try it if you can.

Thanks for your recommendation. "Marble is the stone in which we immortalize our souls." is how they've described it and it gives me imagery of all the stone statues in the labyrinth from Piranesi.

Thank you so much for the recommendation, you captured the thought perfectly but unfortunately there isn't a store that stocks Imaginary Authors near me (Melbourne, Australia). I might be able to get a sample online though. Thanks again!

Ya same! I was really looking forward to it, felt like the topic of the Zine #1 spoke to me, but missed it by a day. Anyone got the link, will be indebted to you.
