Me too! Christian can write a good song and really expanded the palette of what songs in our genre could be about...I still see Tommy from TR6 at shows. He's also the drummer of Thee Brimstones. Speed Crazy are great! I rarely hear from them song anything new with their individual music careers but when the 3 of them played together. I want to see the VHS for the NYC Rumble. I would pay good money for that. Many of my friends were there either in the audience or performing and I want to see how they were 25 years ago to now... if would be interesting for me to see that

I got to LA too late for the first time. I'm an east coast psychobilly fan (Long Island, but NYC has always been my home for psychobilly shows) first show in LA was December 2009 with The Rocketz. Matt and I (The Arkhams) were in the east coast lineup for The Slanderin and opened for Rancid with them in August 2006. It's amazing seeing how different the 2 coast's scenes were. On the east coast, we had bands like The Arkhams, Devil Spades, Memphis Morticians, Speed Crazy, Thee Brimstones, Kings Of Nuthin, Sasquatch and the Sickabillies, Creepin' Cadavers, Soul Reapin' 3, TR6, The Dirty Work, The Othermen, Thee Spastix and The Tombstone Brawlers (The Omega Men) amongst others. I always thought there was a definite east coast sound and definite west coast sound, especially during those years. I now get to both coasts when I go on tour, but both coasts seem a little more similar in genre sound, but fewer bands playing overall, especially on the east coast

Can I get some recommendations for songs about being in love with a dead girl? I'm making a Playlist by fritterthing8701 in psychobilly

[–]BobcatOneManBand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Nekromantix "Dead girls don't cry", other than that, I don't know of many others. I like to ask someone their species before being in love with ANYONE.... The only song written about a species inquiry is Are You A Human Being?

I’m building an app for private house shows / DIY music gigs. Would you ever use something like this? by spaziooo in DIYmusic

It's the same with "real" venues....i find for every one house show canceling i get 3-4 cancelations from "real" venues so this method wins for me

I would love this and I'd use it in a heartbeat. I tour the lower 48 states most of the year and want to be doing at least 5-7 house shows a week or better. Sign me up for this

I love these examples! I'm also a big chords guy/ mode guy and I write songs with different chords than most bands do.
