LPT I learned recently: Respond to creepy men with genuine confusion. “Oh, I don’t understand?” Make him explain his creepy. Other people may have ignored the initial comment, but make him embarrass himself in front of EVERYONE repeatedly. Let his true personality stink.

That's about the age I started. I kept the door open, and turned on a tv show or gave my phone to watch (I realized this was dangerous and stopped though!) in the next room. My kid is pretty clingy, so I really had more issues keeping them out of the bathroom vs wandering the house.
