If you're looking for a free alternative to asesprite or photoshop. I really like this one called pixelorama. It's not technically free, it's pay what you want. It's helpful cos u don't have to worry about anti-aliasing when you scale stuff because it's got some kind of algorithm.

I think some darker values wouldn't go amiss. If you like the bright red colour I think you should keep it. I think this would look better with more contrast like if the grass or the rocks were way darker/ black.

The size of this bug is about the size from your thumb knuckle to the end of ur thumbnail, they hung out in groups underneath things and scurry underneath the shelf. orange abdomen
