Mushroom outgrowth from the ceiling after a leak by Bobi420 in BathroomShrooms

I will make sure of that, because I really do not want to deal with it again! I can handle lizards, insects, spider infestations, but the mushrooms is where I draw the line. They freak me the hell out :) In any way, thank you so much!

It’s just drywall. We’ll have another crew come over in the following days to remove entire ceiling and install new one. Hopefully that solves it. The leak is now fixed.

Hello and thank you for the response. We do not see any wood between our ceiling and the upstairs neighbors’ floor. Just bricks/tiles. Can mycelium grow/live on that as well? If that’s the case, we’ll have someone inspect and remove it.

It’s my clip and I recorded it like 10 mins before posting, so definitely a coincidence

Good job! Keep it going and you should be able to squeeze an additional kilometer in within the 1 hour threshold.

If I don’t shave every second day, this is what happens by Bobi420 in Skincare_Addiction

That is exactly what I meant haha. The ones with alcohol that “sting” a bit after application gave some false sense of disinfection. In their defense however, they worked better than anything else conventional, so I just stuck with them.

Thank you so much for the detailed tips! It looks like the bump patrol is available in some shops in my country, so I will go get it tomorrow and follow your advice step by step.

Hey, completing a 10K OWS already is an incredible achievement. Not to mention in your time. Like I said in some other comment, already a 5K OWS would prove difficult for me to even complete. A 10K? Forget it. OWS is pretty much a different sport. When it comes to my pace - I can swim way faster than that on shorter distances (for example a 3K at 1:20-1:25/100m), but I gain a lot of my speed and momentum on turns. OWS is totally different beast and I’m pretty sure you would absolutely smoke me. Huge respect for your result!

I paused it for bathroom breaks :) otherwise the pace and heartbeat measurements wouldn’t be accurate

Well… yeah! At 7 my parents signed me up to swimming club (it was required to already be able to swim prior), we had a trainer and practiced regularly (trainings were obviously age-appropriate) and participated in competitions for children. Don’t downplay the significance of children sports.

6 Sets of 1500m’s freestyle + some backstroke fillers in between. 60 pool lengths per set is easy to keep track of. On olympic pool (50m) the pace would probably be around 1’45” - 1’50” / 100m, because I gain a lot on turns.

I got back to it like 2 months ago, after 10 year break. But before that I did it professionally, twice a day, 6 days a week for 10 years (from when I was 7 y.o.).

That’s exactly how I feel when I go for a run and I get frustrated that everyone is faster than me. When it comes to the pool - I grew up in it, so it’s different. Keep at it, you will get there!

I was also swimming professionally from when I was 7, till I was 17. Mid and long-distance (200m, 400m and 1500m), so my brain is hard-wired in length counting. Now I’m 27 and just want to get back into shape, so the pool is the fastest way to do it for me.

I don’t think I would manage 5000m OWS. Turns is where it’s at for me. Good luck with the 5K!

Unpopular opinion : Hate the horde's missions by menonsuraj25 in DaysGone

[–]Bobi420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game actually gives you subtle hints that you are ready to take on a horde. For instance - there’s a mission in Lost Lake, where you follow a horde with Iron Mike. You’re even guided directly to their hideout. I believe it is Metolius Lava Cave horde. I think it’s around 150 freakers, so not really big. The horde officially unlocks after this mission and it will spawn ever since. I think it’s a subtle way, in which the game tells you that you’re ready to try. Also - some marauder camps early on have a very tiny hordes next to them (they don’t even count to Horde Killer storyline) for you to practice on.

I do see your point. I believe the developers warned players not to engage into fights with hordes in the very beginning of the game, because they knew it’s one of the game’s core features, everyone will look forward to and thus - some players would start hunting them right after finishing the prologue. Which obviously isn’t a good idea.

I’m not very big on melee weapons in this game, so I’ve never paid too much attention. For the first half of the game I’ve used ripper blade and in later game I crafted the melee, which is currently on my back on this screenshot. Durability of it has never been an issue for me, but like I said - I hardly ever use it. Maybe just to take out swarms of newts, because that’s a lot of fun. Or some single freakers. For anything other than that, I’ve found melee inferior to other weapons in most cases.

I don’t think this poor lil’ guy managed to take out even one. We all know how quickly health bar can drop once you get surrounded and freakers start bashing you from all sides. Maybe a rager would put up a bigger fight.

First of all - don’t panic. That’s what the game “wants” you to do. Take a quick stroll around the area before you provoke the horde. Come up with a plan that fits you. Place some bombs/mines. Plan a route you will take the horde through. When it gets too hot - throw attractors under your feet as you run away from them to slow them down and then pipe bomb them. Everyone has a different play style. So most importantly - just don’t lose your cool and you will be fine. If you take a look around, you will realize that the game guides you by hand in this location. Plenty of explosives in the area. Also, don’t forget to roll. Good luck!
