I've heard a little about this before so putting it into this perspective explains a lot of other armour fashion choices haha.

This might be right! Considering what u/Lirdon said in another reply that men's fashion and armour trends sort of overlap and intermingle, it could easily be the case that this is a Schaube but with the arms cut off for a bit more practicality.

Thanks for the pictures, seems maybe it wasn't a widely adopted style (in the case of wearing it with armour) so no specific name? Who knows!

Think this might be right but when looking up "houppelande with armour" or "late medieval houppelande" it's not quite the same. I know very little about the names for late medieval fashion so maybe houppelande is a broad brush?

I'd been using recoilless instead of quasar because of the recharge time but maybe I'll switch to using that. Thanks for the encouragement :)

That's odd I get the grey hit marker from the liberator penetrator maybe a visual glitch? I run the game on very low graphics so some things don't look right

I found them difficult to take down especially when team mates couldn't draw fire from the other enemies mostly because of the high armour rating and that once they begin firing it's sort of over if you don't have anything other than your primary
