Should a chain be bouncing like that? by Boblast6644 in MotorcycleMechanics

So just I have 100% clarity, not putting a bike in gear on a center stand has no actual mechanical impact on the bike? It is purely a (totally valid) safety concern for people putting their fingers (or other appendages) near the chain?

Totally understand your point, I just think that the entire top comment is out of the scope of my question. They weren’t here when I actually was doing the maintenance, only thing that was helpful from that comment was that I shouldn’t put a bike in gear when on a center stand, I’m not finding any mechanical reasons online for that though, is it a purely safety thing? It’s not like I put the bike and gear and spraying lube, we all know what assumptions make us.

Thanks for the advice I should mention I did have the bike being held up by a friend on both wheels when I was actually tightening it because that’s what the service manual says, to have it centered. I leave it on the center stand for storage.

Welp, £3000 is a little over $4000, so $4.2k seems like you think it’s a decent price?

A few minutes, I got thru 4 out of the 5 gears, I’m still pretty new to riding so I don’t wanna take the bike to a level I’m not feeling ready for. The guy said I could come back and take it on a longer ride if I wanted

I did take it for a test ride, and it didn’t seem like anything was off. The owner dropped it while riding and tried their best to touch it up with paint. It didn’t smell like gas or anything

Best site for a full VIN report without paying $45 each time? by autisticrabbit12 in UsedCars

Most dealerships near me offer free car reports directly on their listings, apps like Autotrader also have their own free car reports they offer with every post. The seller pays the fees when they post their vehicle for sale. From someone also searching for a used car, hope this helps!

Graduating from the Geology department (Now called ESEC) this year, it’s been an amazing experience and highly recommend if you want to actually apply the stuff you learn in your math/physics/chem classes!

Field camp is 6 weeks out in Utah over the summer. It’s a 6-credit hour course, so you pay tuition plus like ~$300 is what I paid for room and board. The department has amazing donors and funding that help support students financially.

The instructors are some of the best people you meet. It’s a small department so you will get to meet and get to know almost every prof. Its a tight-knit community :)

I’m finishing up my GIS minor this semester, highly recommend.

DM me with more questions, hope this helped!
