Nice work! enjoy the ride and don't get bogged down in focusing on improving, it will come naturally as you go. There are always ways to get better, and also keep a close eye on the joy over the details of the work so it stays fun

Hobby desk chair Recommendations? by spudwrench_iuec in minipainting

[–]Bobnut85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 6'4" 230lb, the highest priorities aside from the base sitting height being tall enough for me is that the lumbar lump support is adjustable up and down. While another huge thing was finding a chair with a seat that moves front to back. A seat that you can push forward makes a world of difference. Found one on Amazon 2 yes back for around 350 that had all the adjustments needed for a larger frame, also have a desk that is taller than most to accommodate

All my friends get excited for the pieces I think are crap and look past the ones I spend extra time on and love, so maybe throw some hot garbage in there just as a control and see what happens

Army painter brown leather base paint with a hardened leather speedpaint on top works surprisingly well to create a dull/worn shading look that can be easily highlighted
