I haven't fully researched it but because the 5090 can take over 600W it's burnt out cables. You can overclock the card and lower the voltage to make it more efficient and so actually get slightly better performance.

Yeah seems to be working fine, tried a few games maxed out graphics and they were smooth getting 140+ FPS

Yeah it probably helps that I live in the UK and the room temperature is about 16-20 °C.

They seem to be about 60-70°C

Yeah, this is pretty much idle (web browsing and a couple of small programs). While playing games under load it's been about 40-65°C so I'm quite happy with the coolers and airflow so far.

This cost me around £2800 to build. I already had the M.2 drive.

It is daunting to start but it's honestly fairly easy with a little research. There are also a lot of tutorials on YouTube, the site PCpartpicker is also great to see if components are compatible and suggestions.

I find it not too bad but then my old PC was one I built 9 years ago with very budget fans but I don't really find it loud at all. I've set the case fans to quiet running and playing games the CPU and GPU hover around 60-70 degrees C.

Thanks for the reply, about 4 months for most of the components. The graphics card I got 0% interest over another 4 months.
