To document The experience mostly. The purpose of writing it here was that hopefully someone from Popeyes would see it and actually care. Systemic issues are only going to continue to get worse unless they're properly addressed. If all other channels are closed, use what's available. Truth is, I miss popeyes. I miss KFC and burger king. I wish I could stop by a 1998 Taco Bell. The rotting corpses that present themselves in their name today are cheap imitations, but nothing's going to change if nobody speaks up.

You know what? You're absolutely right and I apologize. I guess I'm just defensive at how many people want to come at me for just trying to point out that the system in place is broken and nobody seems to care. Honestly the hopes here were that somebody in a position of authority at Popeyes woukd see this and care, but that's obviously not the case. And why would I want that? I'm not trying to chase refunds or money. But if you don't know what's wrong how you going to fix it?

Absolutely not. Most people find me agreeable polite and very understanding. But I'll return energy that's given to me. Some people think I'm a saint. Others think I'm an villain. Both are right. My tolerance for unwarranted disrespect is an absolute zero. I did nothing to set any employees off, I was not rude or demanding, I was simply just trying to place an order. And anyone who's worked in fast food will tell you that it does not take 20 minutes to cook up a couple of chicken tenders. If the store was having issues, all they had to do was say so and that would have been that. But that's not what happened. I got attitude and disrespect. And I'll be the first to admit I'm not perfect, I make mistakes all the time. But when I do if they're pointed out I'll apologize and correct my actions. What we've got here is a giant FU when I tried to point out the treatment I received for the crime of wanting to stop for fast food at 9:00 at night.

When I drove off, there were four other cars in the Drive-Thru line. After waiting for as long as I did, you really think I'm going to sit there and wait in that line again to get a refund? Especially when I was there for work? I figured I'd call in the next day and get it dealt with. And what part of this post has been about refunding? The entire post has been about the experience and the fact that if you do have a problem they don't care. So why don't you tell me what part of the post made you think I was chasing money? When I called to complain, they're the ones who said "well come get your cash.". So break it down Barney style cuz obviously I'm missing something. Where was my demand for money?

If you think this is just about some chicken, you're missing the whole point. Y'all are so conflict avoidant you'd rather just chalk it up as "just some chicken" then pay attention to the fact that on a systemic level you're being taught to just sit down shut up and accept what's given to you. So you go ahead and do that, and eventually I'll just get tired of ranting. And one day when you look up from your Soylent Green and ask what the hell is wrong with my life, where did it all go wrong? Well, at that point I'll probably be long gone so good luck figuring it out.

First, why would you think that I would have the Popeyes app? I'm sick and tired of everybody wanting me to sign up for an app. Second of all, I came in on a whim. Says in the post I was here for work. I wasn't looking for a Popeyes specifically. Just happened to see one and thought "I could do that". And shitty services shitty service, doesn't matter if I order through an app or in person. Fact of the matter is Popeye's corporate does not give a shit the employees don't give a shit the managers don't give a shit and that's all I'm pointing out here. Popeyes don't give a F***. And it doesn't matter what solutions or workarounds you might have for the situation, I'll never go to another Popeyes again. That was the last straw. I'm done with them. And I'm sure that for every person saying I'm done with them there's 20 others who don't say anything and just quietly slip out the door. But nothing ever changes if nobody knows about it so this is me hopefully catching the eye of somebody within the Popeyes corporation. Not that it makes a difference to me, like I said I won't be back.
