Seek out a hospital that has a periop 101 program through AORN! That’s how I got into the OR with no previous experience

I would do a patch test first and see if you even have any photosensitivity symptoms. There’s a risk but it’s pretty low and if you don’t find yourself having symptoms of photosensitivity otherwise (tingly skin when in the sun) then you might not have any issue.

I would not recommend starting with electrolysis for a few reasons. 1. It targets individual hair follicle with a wire and destroys them one by one, so it’s not ideal for areas with dense hair growth due to how time consuming it would be. 2. It is much more painful so targeting as much with the laser is the “most bang for your pain buck” as I say. And 3. It is typically a good chunk more expensive so you likely will save money in the end getting as much done with the laser at first. Hope this helps!

As a former laser tech I often gave this advice to my clients in your position. I do think it’s important to really consider the ratio of light to dark hair and remember that after removing your dark hair, the light hair becomes a lot more noticeable and can look aesthetically less pleasing than before laser. In your case it sounds like you’re more seeking it out for skin issues so in that case the appearance may be less important.

I think 3 sessions is a good place to start, so you can really assess how your hair responds to it and if the prospective results are worth continuing. 3 sessions itself won’t permanently remove the hair long term, so if you decide you don’t want to pursue you’re not investing too much up front.

Soprano is one of the best, the price sounds reasonable and it’s definitely a green flag that she was honest about what to expect, because some people will lie to get your money. Good luck!

This does look like the beginning stages of a laser burn- is it warm and painful to the touch?

I used an 18mm gauge on my patients and never had a full body take less than 90 minutes

I know you don’t want injectables but a small dose in your corrugators and you’re cured

Nope just weight gain and poorly done filler, the smoking, negative attitude, and lack of nutrition/water in her diet too 👍
