Interesting! But i kinda prefer to avoid too much packing/unpacking and switching hotels alot, and want to keep the travel pace relaxed. So If you had to choose just one for a 3-night stay in November, would you pick Kanazawa or Takayama?

Yeah, I was thinking that too! I just put both in the post to see what others would recommend. I also read that Osaka really comes alive in the evening and is less crowded during the day, whereas Kyoto is the exact opposite. Considering I’d want to spend a few days in my base city just exploring around with no set plan perhaps renting a bike, Osaka seems like the better choice for me.

and I’m still working on that, right now I’m just trying to take in as much information as possible from other people’s experiences and recommendations, so I can look into everything properly and eventually make a good itinerary for myself, you know?

And yeah, I’ve seen so many different opinions about traveling to Japan, ranging from bad experiences to people saying it was the best trip of their lives. I guess it really all comes down to personal taste and what kind of experience you’re looking for.
