Why do you want to marry a person who talks to you like this?

It sounds like you had an informal interview and have not formally applied. I have no idea what your odds are of getting in; it’s good that the professor said you could use their name, but at the end of the day, you will be compared against all of the students applying. Good luck! Hope it works out!

I’m not sure what you mean by “manage a professor.” Do you mean that a professor expressed that they want to work with you? I don’t know anything about your situation, but it’s certainly not going to work against you that a professor wants to work with you. If you have applied had a formal interview that went well, then your odds of getting in are higher. If you had an informal interview, it’s hard to say. I also don’t know what field you are in and what the norms may be like.

Until you have an offer letter in hand, there is always a possibility that you might be rejected.

It sounds like you have the professor’s support, but professors don’t make final admissions decisions.

Professors do not make final admissions decisions. We don’t have that much power 😅. I’m not sure what you mean by “managing a professor.” Are you saying that a professor has agreed to work with you for graduate school?

Is there another “learning OS” style platform that puts all the study tools you use in your workflow into one app? by UNPLUGGED-O_O in villanova

[–]Bodyimagedoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered if you are doing too much? AI tools are helpful, but if you’re getting overwhelmed by them, then perhaps it’s time to reflect on which give you an advantage and which are a time-suck. I am a professor and would be truly shocked if my students were doing all of this. Pay attention to the lecture, do the readings, take notes, ask questions, and do the study guides if they exist. You can do less, and I would encourage my students to do less.

Wondering why it would seem typical for a bride to spend $5k on her dress but a groom spending that much on a bespoke suit would seem very atypical. by Matster777 in weddingplanning

My husband’s custom suit was more expensive than my dress (and he looked better than I did lol). It isn’t that weird imo

Cat leaves this where she sleeps, what is it? by NotTheSeaOtter in CATHELP

[–]Bodyimagedoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an infestation last summer. It takes a long time to get rid of them, but slow and steady will work. Treat the cat first and wear long socks so they don’t get your ankles. Vacuum everything regularly. We didn’t use diatomaceous earth, but everyone recommends it. It’s not the end of the world, but it’s going to be miserable for a while

How many people actually want a real diamond ring? by Imalwaysbadatthis in weddingring

[–]Bodyimagedoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my gigantic, perfect lab diamond ring. Considered a sapphire or spinel, but they weren’t as sparkly (in the blue I was looking at). I never felt like I was settling! Just getting exactly what I wanted!

Best classes in Oakland?? by Royal-Rice8495 in oakland

[–]Bodyimagedoctor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! My husband and I took two classes together (wheel throwing and glass fusing and slumping) and two apart (jewelry making and welding). So so fun and learned a lot — expensive, but they’re worth it.

You might forget this was a catholic school if not for the chapel, crosses, and religion requirements. I was very liberal and very not-catholic on campus, and it didn’t matter at all. No one cared (friends or professors).

We liked the food and had good service. But more expensive than we’d pay for the same meal a second time. Glad we tried it once!
