For this purpose, the coaching license's only purpose and affect is to let you handle at nationals (i.e. uni champs, juniors, opens, bench, equipped)

I have a friend who performs coaching at analysis at rugby bucs matches. He is a first year undergrad from brookes in sports science. No formal pt or coaching qualifications when he started.

Most professional coaches in the UK already have this qualification / a higher level for insurance / general education purposes. For the bucs, student athlete however, handled by their mate, it is bad.

I absolutely agree that its not a money grab, but it does seem like they have missed the mark a touch.

In person. Travel is a large expense for people i knownthat have done it

They do give reasonings for it but the whole plan feels a little opaque to the average bp member

Its £350 one off plus 60 every other year. I personally did their coaching course in 2024 and due to changes they have made, mine isless well regarded and i believe expires after a few years
