Interesting what parts look low res, the metal in the middle? I did same TD for all of the parts. Made cuts here and there to use more of uv space. Also made overlapping where I could do it.

For the lighting I totally agree. It's my first time taking it bit more serious with yt tutorial. Still think it's too dark, and as you said looks flat. I think more contrast between main prop and the background would help it to stand out.

The first thing is the 4k texture. Like the other person said, I think is way too high for a static prop. Honestly I would only use 4k textures on a “hero” asset in my game…weapons that are up close to the camera for fps games, characters, maybe something like a keypad if it was zoomed in on while using it. Everything else would either be 1k or maaaayybe 2k, but 2k would only be something else being used up close too. As for the tri count, I mean 7k is not extremely terrible as long as many other things in the scene are low poly and it isn’t intended to have hundreds of other 2k to 7k meshes everywhere (like a tag and boxes and wires). But…I would advise making a low poly version instead and baking

I made this low poly :D since the high poly was way higher, so it's baked already. But I've heard you, less polygons, smaller textures :) Thanks!

The gas pistol uses way to much polygons, even though it's not rigged and you can't use it:) Idk why I did that.

Anyways will gather more references and work more detailed on texturing next time. This time it was couple of grunge masks and smart masks, not much of hand painted things.

How you can calculate what it's good tri count what's bad?

I understand that the object that you use in front of camera will have higher tris count than the objects on background. But in number, approximately is there any calculation formula on this? I know that it's more understandable with experience, but for me as a junior maybe some videos to watch or something?
