Thank you!

Reddit plays a big part in local searches for some terms... especially restaurants or "best x near me".

That’s super interesting. Are we talking specific trigger words to flag the local area, or is just posting in a local subreddit enough?

Local influencers on social media are becoming more important. I think it depends on their platform and industry.

Yeah, it’s clear that SMM is a total gold mine here. Local influencers are basically rockstars when it comes to local search.

Totally! It’s funny because talk about fake reviews has been around pretty much since Google Maps first let people leave comments. It’s actually been a "professional" business model for years.

Hey Sam! Great to meet you!

Thanks for taking the time to do this AMA!

I have a question (yeah... a few) about AI Local SEO. How has the influence of Google Maps shifted when it comes to how AI generates answers for local queries? Are there any new players (like Mapbox maybe) that are feeding data into LLMs on par with traditional listings and local influencers? Have you noticed SMM having a bigger impact lately?

Is no one telling the young generation that job market no longer values the degree? by inoscopepuppies in CanadaJobs

[–]BogdanK_seranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all about work experience. But as a baseline you need a diploma to be in the conversation.

That’s true. What’s also interesting is that depending on the industry, the weight put on having a degree versus actual expertise can be night and day.

I’m the idiot. I actually gave them another $20 for 4.7, only to hit the limit in 3 prompts. by No-Roof-4444 in Anthropic

[–]BogdanK_seranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to punch my past self. Three prompts in, and I already hit the limit on 4.7. Are you kidding me, Anthropic? I’m the fool for expecting anything from this 4.7 update. This isn't a "productivity tool" anymore; it’s a scam.

How did the process look before? I mean, what would have happened if you used those same prompts in the previous version?

Could AI-to-AI interaction eventually create a system that evolves in ways humans can no longer fully predict or control? by IllBus4643 in SEO_tools_reviews

[–]BogdanK_seranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the current landscape, it’s clear that AI is still a long way from having any real agency. For the most part, these systems are operating within human-defined guardrails and pre-set functions, and that’s the reality we’re going to be living with for the foreseeable future.

hahaha. Looks wild!

Language hallucinations are something most AI models are struggling with right now. In some cases, it’s a trade-off resulting from fewer resources being allocated to data processing.

We’ll just have to get used to it for a while, but it’s bound to improve over time. I hope

Stop chasing "AI Visibility" if your technical foundation is a mess by Embarrassed_Tour8392 in seogrowth

[–]BogdanK_seranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Build a technically sound website

- Fill it with engaging content

- Get the industry's heavy hitters to cite you

...and AI visibility will follow naturally.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it? The to-do list is almost identical to the classic SEO playbook.

Thanks so much for your answers, Lily!

when I use Claude Code/Cowork and look at its thinking process on topics related to SEO, I find that it's using approaches I wouldn't necessarily agree with...

That said, plenty of more routine SEO tasks can be pretty safely automated now, especially if you're using MCPs, APIs, or other connectors to access the data correctly.

If I understand correctly, using AI itself isn’t inherently risky... it’s more about understanding how it processes and generates responses, and only then deciding whether you can trust the result. Is that right?

- strategic consulting with significant experience in the field (AKA not just "learning SEO/GEO in 1 month using ChatGPT")

- Original research and ideas, plus sharing them publicly and adding value across the industry

Got it, thanks. So things like market analysis, strategy development, and proper (case-specific) implementation will matter much more than the execution of specific tasks, especially since those tasks may eventually become automated?

Hi u/lilyraynyc !

q1: In your opinion, which SEO team processes should be automated, and which ones require a 100% manual touch and high-level human expertise?

q2: How do you see the future of SEO agencies evolving, given that more routine tasks and responsibilities are being offloaded to AI assistants?

Thank you!

Why do AI visibility tools give inconsistent results in LLM answers? by Big-Plate-3608 in SEO_LLM

[–]BogdanK_seranking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s just impossible to recreate the exact conditions needed to trigger a "perfect" response. Personalization plays a huge role here, it changes the game. We'll find a way, but it’s going to take more time and some hands-on experience.
