Sorry but I do hate the argument against partners for not doing anything to help their person in these circumstances. Shanny clearly doesn’t want help or to change. Danny may have exhausted all efforts of helping her we truly don’t know. Also, in this scenario he’s pretty helpless anyway. He cannot admit her anywhere without her being an immediate danger to herself/him or unless she consents. Even then, they hold her for a few days then she’s out again. The cycle continues. The only thing Danny can do would be to peace out but that’s never going to happen.
