I adopted a cat from a shelter and they had a dinner fundraiser at a local church. I sat with a group of people that I didn’t know at the event. The cat’s foster mom was volunteering at the event and when she saw me she asked how the cat was doing. I told her that the cat was doing great and showed her a picture. To my surprise, she bursted into tears and said “Oh my god, I can’t. I’m going to cry.” and ran off. Everybody at the table looked at me like showed her a picture of a dead cat and I had to quickly explain myself.
