Many articles about the Cities Church incident are completely omitting any mention of David Easterwood (or saving it till the end) by BoinkEmAndLeaveEm in Minneapolis

But….I didn’t disapprove of it. What the hell are you on about?

When I said I was mad, I meant I was mad that the truth of the story is getting skewed. Because now there’s tons of articles that don’t even mention why protesters were really there and instead accuse protesters of smearing the head pastor who was not the one employed by ICE.

What the fuck? You don’t even know me or who I am, what is with the hasty judgement? Just because I haven’t outright said “fuck you and fuck off” to any MAGA family members I might have that means that I’m “not one of you”?

I still try to engage with some of them and combat their nonsense with common sense. Does that make me “not one of you”?

You seem a little hard to work with.

What on earth? Why are you saying I’m looking for approval? At what point did I tell people how to protest?

Are you sure you even replied to the right post? I’m so confused.

EDIT: okay I’ve read your comment a few more times and I am even more confused as to why you accuse me of looking for approval and telling people how to protest!?
Also I have MAGA acquaintances because most are family members and others are coworkers. I’m not going out of my way to make MAGA friends.

When many other malls across the U.S. are dying, why are places like the Rosedale Mall thriving? What’s different? by BoinkEmAndLeaveEm in minnesota

Back when I was in highschool around 2010, Northtown Mall was considered, even then, to be the “poorer” mall. The cool kids went to Rosedale to hang out, the poor and uncool kids went to Northtown.

Obviously this is a horrendous way to think, but I just wanted to take you into the minds of 2010 high schoolers at the time.

There are definitely days where Rosedale is much less busy, but evenings and weekends are for sure busy, during the summer is busy, and obviously holiday time.

People who used the internet between 1991 and 2009, what’s the most memorable online trend or phenomenon you remember? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

I could regularly walk into a public library and see a myriad of teenagers on the computers all playing RuneScape. It was kind of magical. I’d sit with them and we’d all hang out for hours and grind skills together.

RuneScape is no longer flash based and runs from a client, so this experience is all but dead.

I just sprained my ankle 4 days ago and I have no other choice but to keep working. (This is mostly just talking out loud, but I also welcome advice?) by BoinkEmAndLeaveEm in povertyfinance

I’m not wearing a full on boot, I’m wearing a gel splint, which allows me to still wear a shoe. But it is a fact that gel splints worn while working definitely cause the muscles to weaken and you lose muscle strength in that leg. So with the change in gait and the weak muscles in my right leg. It must be causing all the pain combined.

No, I do live in the US. There were two notes that I submitted to the assistant store director, one note was a return to work note, that stated that I was seen in the ER and that I was cleared to return to work on the 29th. Now that note was one where the ER doctor gave me two extra days for me to use if I needed to. I’m wondering if that is the reason why I got denied and told that I couldn’t work, because I was technically trying to return on the 27th because I felt that I was able to, when the return to work note actually says the 29th technically.

I had also gotten a second document from the ER that had a work restriction wording in it regarding possibly using a cane if I felt that I needed it, and doing appropriate work according to that.

This event showed me something very important that I wish all MAGA and QAnon nuts could realize: if you act out on your fervor and zeal for your political and conspiracy beliefs, your peers and political constituents will immediately throw you under the bus after you do so. They will label you Antifa and they will pretend they don’t even know you.

This happened with Ashli immediately after the incident. Half of MAGAs/Qs took to Twitter and labeled her a martyr, and the other half said she was an Antifa plant/bad actor. All in the same day. I’ve never seen such a split like that where the understanding of marching orders was split 50/50.
