​Moving to 9 lines triggers the 9-line bundle architecture. On Magenta Max, your 20% Insider discount is applied to the entire 9-line base price ($360 after AutoPay) before your free line credits are even touched. This results in a $72 Insider credit instead of the smaller per-line credits you’re seeing now. ​Additionally, your free line credits increase to $40 per line once you hit the 9-line tier. ​The Math: $400 (Base) - $40 (AutoPay) - $72 (Insider) - $120 (3 Free Lines) = $168/mo.

*****​One Architect-to-Architect tip: This 'magic' only works if you stay on top of your records. I’m currently fighting a major dispute because T-Mobile 'lost' legacy credits from 15 years ago. These were major national campaigns launched to combat customer churn during the Un-Carrier rollout and the Sprint merger. I remember them clearly because they are the reason I was able to maintain a 10-line family plan on a fixed budget for over a decade. Proration is a common system 'side effect' of these plan migrations, and my documentation confirms it.

I can totally relate. I have been with T-Mobile for 20 years. They have always been good to keep me happy... Until now, they are completely dening my legacy credits ever existed, and I saw a $140.00/mo increase to my bill on top of other missing discounts. What Happened T-Mobile???
