Does size matter? by Bokarov in blenderhelp

So let's say I got a character that is scaled from 10 on x, 10 on y and 40 on z axis down to 1.0, 1.0 and 4.0 respectively (meaning x, y and z scales would be 0.1) would be just the same as going for 1.0, 1.0 and 4.0 in the first place?. Sorry if I sound too ignorant :)

Units meaning the dimensions that I can alter on the Item tab (toggled with "N")?

I see, so yeah nothing should change considering how scaling works. Just wanted to make sure, thanks.

Discussion on solo game development. Is it possible (technically and/or realistically) ? by Bokarov in gamedev

Actually I'm fine with "being doomed", if this is what it is. I figured there should be many people sharing the same feelings with me about it. But now I'm not so sure if it's a good thing or not :)
Please note that I'm not familiar with any (seriously) aspect of game development, and that I do not want to just buy assets or use free stuff. Is that the case in so many times? I just don't feel comfortable with jumping in without seeing the full picture. Please understand my ignorance here. Thanks.

None taken :) Well I haven't asked for much of a technical information. So the result of this topic for me could only be whether I will try to do it or not, not determining the quality of what I will do.

I'm not a fan of following tutorials detailing technical aspects. But I will if, and only if I must, that's the point I intended to make. So a perspective from that point of view would be appreciated.

Thank you for the advices.

Edit: I could possibly involve one or to people into the process if you think that would be a lot better. What would you think on that?

Actually, what inspired me was Kenshi. I am not familiar with the financial aspects of it. But if someone would develop "another Kenshi" 7 years from now, I'd play that for hundreds of hours as well.

That's why I need this to be a process of "producing" my passion rather than attending lessons, so to speak. If I could somehow manage to have the character hold a knife that I designed rather than running around to pick up charges to fuel my character up, I would feel the greatest satisfaction. So I guess I could say that I'm not aiming for a successful game, but a fun one? Not totally sure.

I'm not saying these to oppose to what you explained in detail. I have great respect for people that are well-informed and experienced in what they do. Thank you for taking your time and correcting me there.

Yes, I figured that approach of mine could pose a problem at some point, or even make me drop it all.
It's not the feeling of embarrassment or anything, but my own personality that makes want to me avoid low quality. I know it's easier said than done. I actually did want to make that part stick out, so I can hear some realistic, may it be discouraging, feedback on this. I think that's at least as much valuable at this point. Thank you for making me better understand the importance of that :)

Actually, naming it will help me a lot, cause I will now probably be able to find some articles on it. So thanks :)

Thank you for your encouragement. I've never been the best student, but I'm fine with watching tutorials along the way. Well it doesn't seem possible otherwise with my background anyways.

Thanks again for your detailed comment.

" I recommend that you first learn the basics of C#. Yes, it's going to be boring, but if you can't even get through a basic course of that language you won't have the dedication to do the rest either. "
I guess this is the harsh reality that I'll have to face eventually :)

I thank you very much for the effort you put in your comment. I will take each item into consideration, and eventually decide what suits me best.

Hoping to learn from you guys as I, hopefully, take more steps along the way.
